I hope to have a big win like this in the very near future. My best so far was hitting $5 on a number and then betting $10 on a different number the very next spin. I cashed out $500 ahead in less than 5 minutes. The reaction from the table was priceless.

I'm boring. I've won $35 on a number. I've never bet more than $1 on any number.

I was only playing outside losing $200 on my $300 bank roll. I hit even on my last $100 dollars then decided to change $20 inside chips and put straight to number $20. $180 on even. Boom number 20 hits. Coloured up and left. Actually the pit boss called me back because I did not get my original $20 back from $20.

There are some fantastic hits out there...and I am going to have to see if PT's method is described here somewhere (I will do some searching during the games today...)!

I have followed a certain someone on the "17" over the years (thanks, BeeeJay!) and have had "good" results...as in a lot less losses on roulette since going "hit and run" instead of playing a whole lot at anyone time.

    Best wins...

Sahara--$10 bet on a really low minimum table...I was the "High Roller"...all on 36. Hits once. I did not press at all (darn it!)...it hits again.
Margaritaville (Bossier City)--way down. $10 on 17 and some splits around it. Two rolls later I left with over $500.
Excalibur--just wandering Vegas. had $9 in chips left. All on 17. It hits...

I don't know how many times I have hit 17 for $5 or $10...and I don't know how many times I have lost. The one thing I do know is that it is a lot of fun to play "hit and run"--no large risk at one time and great potential results!!

I'm enjoying the stories y'all are sharing!!

Last trip I was spinning the wheel with Tellafriend and Nate.

We're winning and new dealer comes in and he's just bad mojo.

So right before the ball is about to drop I seek out any numbers with no bet on them.

Because you know those dealers where every number but 2 are covered and they hit one of those and clear the table.

So I find 3 numbers open and put 200 on each.

Of course he hits one of them and I get paid 7k and everybody else is pissed.

Yep, always cover those numbers or when someone goes bust after trying to hit a certain number and walks away, it always hits

Do you have a belief that the dealer can control the spin to hit certain numbers or sections? Not sure why I believe in that.

I have a hobby of putting $20 on 20. 20 was the number worn by the only Heisman Trophy winner from my lifelong favorite college team, LSU, so that's always been my thing.

But you know something? I was playing with another LSU fan who saw me do this, and asked why. When I told him, HE bet $100 on 20. It came up, and I never felt so ashamed of a $700 win.

I was staying at Wynn from 15th to 22nd October this year. On the last night of our trip was down $15k for the week, decided to try out the high limit roulette table.

This was 21st October - back to the future day and also my business partners birthday. So I added 21 to my "usual numbers" with $50 on it.

After about 5 rolls it came in. I always double down on a number that hits. It came in again for a nice $3500. Within the next couple of rolls it hit and then repeated again.
On that third spin (now $200 on it) the ball landed next door (I think 4?)

Over about an hours play a lot of my other numbers hit as well, I turned my $3000 buy in to $21000, got up and walked away a happy man. Overall a great last night!

Cosmopolitan in spring of 2013. I had just come off a heater on the blackjack table in the HL room. Stumbled over to the roulette table and placed a purple chip on each of my 6 usual numbers. Binked a 23! What a rush!

The top 5 spins were real. They moved in a table to Talon room and it had that long string of 3s. I wasn't playing.

I'm more of a blackjack player... but I do have something to add here (the only non-$USD play referred to in this thread as well, if I'm not mistaken).

When I was in undergrad, studying in the UK, I was out drinking with a couple of friends and it was 3:00 am or so, all of the bars had closed. What hadn't closed was one of the local casinos, a 24-hour joint, that we knew was still serving alcohol (their license allows them to serve until 5:00 am if I'm not mistaken). So we went over there. Most European casinos require you to register; you cannot simply walk in. I was already a member so I just gave the reception my card, but I was amazed they let my other two friends in, as they had to fill out a short form and have their photo taken... a task I'm amazed they managed to accomplish as drunk as they were (I've seen people get turned away for being too drunk trying to get in to UK casinos on many occasions).

Anyway, we get our beers and walk out to the gaming floor just to walk around. One of the lower-limit roulette tables (£0.50 for single number bets, about $0.75 USD) had nobody at it and I just couldn't resist, so I fished £0.50 out of my pocket, bought a single chip and put it down on a corner bet. Sure enough, it hits - and now I have £4.50 in chips.

I place £0.50 bets on random corners throughout the table and am up and down here and there. Then, I decide to put £0.50 on just 17/20 split. Sure enough, it comes up 20, and I'm at £13 ($20 USD) or so in total (from starting with £0.50). Decided that was enough, we finished our beers and left - stumbling our way home as the sun had started to come up.

i have two stories, one of which happened last week.

8 years ago when my daughter turned 21 we took her and her boyfriend to vegas. we went hiking at Red Rock then stopped at the casino. she didn't have much of a bankroll. i was going to play some roulette and gave her 25 to play. she put it all on her favorite number, which is 11. i said you have 1 in 38 odds of hitting that 11, why don't you spread it around a little. she does, leaving 5 on the 11 and the 11 hits. she just said thanks alot dad out loud (ur a giant asshole to herself)

just last week at hollywood in columbus, i got beat up a bit and left a table pissed with about $80 in chips. i didn't want to walk through casino to cage so i stopped at the roulette table. i always play the 11 with the four numbers surrounding it and i also play the 27 and 33, surrounding them also. i put my bets out and the 27 hit first spin. the dealer pays me and i put out my same bets again. the next spin is a 8, i'm thinking i'm getting 17-1 for the hit when i realize i had set my chips wrong and had my big bet on the 8 and surrounded it. two spins and i walk away a winner for the day. didn't mind making the walk to the cashier after that.

    $1500 heads up on 30.

I have had several line and 1/3 bets that were much bigger wins though.

Two quick stories- first one was my first ever trip to Vegas...had to be '02 or so?? Anyway, I was staying and playing at TI- a total novice at every game, and a small bankroll. Last night there I buy in for $100 at roulette table and just made a point to bet the table minimum of $10 per spin. I bet several numbers straight up, but always put a little more on 23. After HOURS of playing, I get my buy-in up to $900- a massive amount for me at the time. I get cocky and decide to play $100 each in two columns, hoping one hits...win 2, lose 1...get my $1k and go to bed. Of course, the 3rd column hits. I do this literally 3 more times, unsuccessfully, so now I"m back down to my initial buy in. I trade it in for nickels and I"m down to my last $25, and I had $5 on 33 and it hit for $175. At this point, it's beyond late and the dealer urges me to pack it in, which I did. In my many trips since this initial visit, I've lost 5-figure amounts more times than I care to admit, but nothing hurts as much as that initial "loss", which really wasn't a loss. On the way to my room, right after I cashed out, I did get propositioned and was told I needed to be spanked....but that's another story. That just made the night all the more surreal.

I guess my best story was at the Palms. I was spreading $200 to $300 per spin out there and I had $50 on 23 and it hit. I tipped the dealer $100 and spread the same again, throwing another $50 on 23 and that's where I learned 'there's nothing sweeter than a repeater'...a quick $5,250 for the good guys. This was after an epic BJ run where I was up about $3,500 and got a comp to Nine steak joint in the Palms. And yes, I left that night with the bankroll firmly in my pocket.

one time, i was down maybe 10k, i had $200 on the line between 19-24, $200 on row 19-21,22-24, $200 each on 20-24. then 19 hit. i was hollering, that would have been an extra 7k profit, but then i made my money back

same trip, i was up maybe 40k, lost 30k a mirage. the whole board, the 2nd column never came up. lost almost everything, luckily i had 10k in caesars chips so i didnt lose all my money at mirage. i went back to caesars, i was like what the hell,i need to make that money back since it was all profit money anyways.

first bet, i bet 3k on the 2nd 12s and 1k on the line of 19-24, 23 hit. 11k pay out
    Second bet, lost 4k
Third bet, same bet as first, hit again, another 11k
Fourth bet, same bet as first, hit again, another 11k
I won all my money back, hit 3 out of 4 bets

On the day i was suppose to leave, they sold my seat away since i didnt check in my original flight, had to stay another 2 days. i made another 25k in blackjack. started at 100bet then 500bet. i was too hot. probably won 9 out of 10 hands. if only i increased my bet to 1k
