Hello from Los Angeles

I thought I would send a hearty hello as a long time reader - first time poster.

My name is Matthew and I am 31. I make probably 2-3 solo trips a year to Vegas (the people I am friends with aren't a huge fan of Vegas).

Very quickly, the three things I love about Vegas:

• My favorite part of my solo trips is finding this eerie calm in the chaos. I feel more a peace sitting and watching the world go by.
• Kind of an addition to the above. The overall monolithic feel to vegas hotels leaves me in awe. No matter how many times I go, I still feel this feeling of overwhelmed amazement every time I see the strip when flying or driving in.
• I also love to play Blackjack, and you can probably find me either at El Cortez (love that $5 min 2 deck game) when my bankroll is low, or The Aria when it is high (although I hear that the Aria got rid of $25 min 3-2 blackjack recently and that makes me super sad).

I'm considering trying craps next time I am in Vegas. The general energy around a craps table has me interested. I learned how to play Blackjack by doing a lot of reading, but it took a friend of mine to show me how to play in the casino - there are definitely differences. I'm hoping that by signing up and saying hello, that I might find others in my place or a seasoned craps pro that would be interested in meeting up on my next solo trip to show me around a craps table.

Anyway thank you for the invaluable information you have already given me and I hope that I in return might be able to share what little info I have on this beautiful city!

I'll be in town between September 13 - 20 for a conference next so if anyone is interested in showing me round a craps table, I wouldn't say no!
