Thanks for the news, but I wouldn't support 6/5 at any cost.

Make it $10 3-2 instead of the $5 6-5 junk.

Also a bit surprised at the hours. I would think it'd be 4 am to noon instead of 4 pm to midnight.

Not really. When they place isn't busy and they only want a couple dealers working, the tables will mostly be empty and not worth running unless limits are higher. They don't need to (and can't) bring in volume, so they players who do stop by they want to make enough off of to make it worthwhile.

4pm-midnight you can have a cheap table packed, and its easier to make money off of.

This is not the first place to have a lower limit in prime time than the morning.

    Its not dumb.

In tradition blackjack, when you get 2 cards to start with adding up to 21, you get paid 1.5 times your wager (a 3:2 ratio).

At a 6:5 table, you are paid 1.2 times your wager on a blackjack (a 6:5 ratio).

The net effect is a much higher house edge.

There are other rules that vary from game to game and also affect the house advantage (like whether the dealer hits when they have a 'soft' 17 (7 or 17 with an ace)), but 6:5 is among the easiest to spot and is the biggest jump in house edge. These days, most low limit games on the strip are 6:5. To find good rules, you often need to play at higher tables, or go to more out of the way casinos.

I'd definitely be up for the $5 craps. Check out what multiple odds they allow, to see if Wynn's genius double odds is spreading anywhere.

I will play 6:5 all day. i never get a black jack so it has no bearing on me.

The dealer on the other hand will get lots of black jacks as long as I have a 20.
