Bacchanal Buffet

I hear nothing but good things and want to try it.

Anybody been there?

What is your opinion?

 

We enjoyed it for lunch last year. Lots to choose from and individual portions so you can sample a lot of different things easily. Try to leave room for dessert(s) We're going back in September. There's always a "debate" between this and Wicked Spoon. WS is good too but IMHO Bacchanal is better.

 

I got to Bacchanal almost every trip. We get told that Wicked Spoon is better by some people too. However the ambiance of Bacchanal can't be beat. We love it! Especially on the weekends with bottomless mimosas.

 

We love Bacchanal - the variety of food is awesome and it tastes great!

 

I thought it was by far the best buffet I've had in Vegas.

 

In May we went and I came away wondering what all the fuss was about. If you are going for seafood or Aisian then you are good.

 

Although it's pricey, I love it. I'd go just for the deserts-the best anywhere. They actually have food that I will eat unlike some of the other buffets; that is, "ordinary" food which will not appeal to some but it suits me just fine.

 

It's usually our one meal of the day if we have lunch there.

 

Look forward to trying out Bacchanal on our next trip in Sept although we didn't really enjoy Wicked Spoon buffet but know we're somewhat in the minority there

 

All I can say is "Be prepared to put yourself into a food coma". Seriously.

Some unique things:
- High End Sliced meat like Prosciutto, Hard Salami, etc (Also high end cheese)
- "Smoked" Meats carved to order - brisket, sausage, ribs, prime rib, etc.
- individual portions of many items already plated, including sliders
- Tons of seafood including hot & cold crab legs, crayfish, shrimp, etc
- One of mine & my daughters favorites - iced bottles of fruit juices and Horchada
- Amazing selection of deserts including flavored gellato
- Espresso/Cappuccino

And unlike most buffets where the different dishes tend to taste pretty bland, virtually everything I've tried here has good flavor to it.
I know I am forgetting many things.

The servers also are "above average.

 

Sounds so good. Hoping to get a chance to try it. I've done Wicked Spoon, but this is on my list as well.

 

Will defo try this on my next visit in Sept.

 

We're eating there next Tuesday for dinner. This thread is making me hungry just reading it!!! Its the one (and normally only) buffet we hit each trip...unless we get really drunk and forget to eat lunch then we become gluttons a second time for dinner. We tend to make bad choices at that point and eat someplace like Flavors at Harrahs and regret it big time the next day.

 

Does anyone know if the selections are the same for lunch and dinner? We've been for dinner a couple of times and plan to go again when we are there in October, however I was thinking of going for lunch this time. I would hate to miss out of some of our favorites if they're not served during lunch.

I did not think it was worth it for the wait and the money. I don't eat seafood, so can't speak to that. To me the food tasted like ordinary buffet food. The desserts were good but not worth the extra money. I did go the first year open, so maybe something has changed since then.

 

Only ate there once and really liked it.
Unfortunately I find the price a bit too high for a buffet.

What I really like was the small servings they made available. This is one buffet where I didn't seem to see a lot of wasted food on people's table.

Awesome selection of desserts.

You honestly believe that the food at a Bacchanal tasted like the food at the buffets at Harrahs or TI? Not worth the money is very different than ordinary.

I find your comments about Bacchanal difficult to believe.
