Wondering if anyone has a recent experience receiving some back end comps at TR props, particularly CP. Will be staying 5 nts comped next week from my TR calendar. A decade ago, I used to always check with Players Club counter night before checking out for what they could comp off of my stay. Have been under the impression the past few years that comps are earned now in the form of Rewards Credits and that's it for us non High Rollers. Have I been potentially giving up some additional credits towards my final bill? I typically charge all food and drink to room as well as daybeds at pools etc.

Related question, a typical gambling bankroll of $500/day (give or take based on daily winnings). Based on previous statement, would it be worthwhile to meet with a Host, or would they have zero interest in my gambling action? Obviously do not play for comps, but am happy to accept whatever perks/comps I can get. :)

There is no downside in checking with a host for back end comps. Bank roll is not a particularly good indicator of theo. the rooms at CP have a fairly high cost. I doubt with a bank roll of $500/day that you do much more than cover your room. Who knows.....if you have a big hit.... It also depends what you are playing. Generally, CET comps about 30% if theo.

I understand casino hosts have much more wiggle room in what costs they can or may offer to remove from portfolio. Is it accurate to say that TR reps can and will only comp off as much as Reward Credits on account will cover?

I'd at the very least ask for your resort fees to be comp'd. From what I've read / seen, it's not hard to gamble those off.

The challenge you are going to run into is that you have to earn enough comps to cover the 5 days before any additional bank end comps can be provided. The rooms at CP can get pretty pricey, especially if there is an event in town. It can't hurt to check with a host. Also be aware that it is policy in Vegas to use RC for backend comps prior to hard comps.

What you'll need in Theo for backend comps at Caesars Palace

The normal casino folio charge for a Palace Tower, Augustus, or Octavius (Non-special events periods)
runs between $140 and $180 per night. (This folio charge is not retail)
Therefore your five comped nights require you to cover between $700 and $900 in earned comp. (5 X 140-180 per day)
You earn comp at 30 percent of theoretical (35 percent if generous).
You therefore need to give them somewhere between $2000 and $3000 in theo just to cover the five room nights.

As a rough estimate, you will need to earn about 1000 tier score credits per day (not counting any bonus credits)
    just to cover the room.
If after the first day or two, you're hitting 1500 TC per day, you should get some backend reduction on your F&B room charges.
For the excess beyond the 1000 or so daily TC, you should receive some backend comp at a rate of $300 for every $1000 of additional theo.

After two days and nights of your normal level of play, ask the host desk what your theo is so far.
They might refuse to tell you. If so, ask if you've covered your room folio charge for the two nights thus far.
They will probably have no problem with answering that question.
Depending upon what they say, you can get a feel for whether your current rate of play will earn anything extra.

BTW: A reliable estimate for Caesars Palace is as follows:
To cover a five night trip with a CP Augustus class room and modest F&B,
will require about 2000 to 2300 tier credits per day (again, not counting any bonus credits).

I'm not really a slots/VP person. So, about how much does that equate to for a table/craps player? I normally play $10 pass with odds, and normally have all the numbers covered. Right now I know they have me rated at $100/hand for how I normally play. My next stay is comped along with the resort fees. So, I guess if I charge any food to the room that's what I'd be looking to get taken off.

Even though you're being comped room and resort fees on the front end, you still need theo to cover that before any back end comps. CET comps at about 30% of theo. Your upfront comp is probably about $200-225/day. You need 600 ADT to cover that. At $100/hand.......you'll need a lot of hours.

To Steve and newmans - VERY GOOD INFORMATION!!

Thank you. This explains a lot and why I don't get additional comps at CET Vegas. I usually only have 1000 TC's a day because I can't seem to hit anything.

Related question about ADT - What is DMV or MDV (not sure what she said)? My host said mine is 967 at local and 846 and Tahoe?

I believe MDV stands for Marketing Daily Value. Essentially the same thing as ADT, it is used to determine what offers are sent to you as front end comps. (I could be wrong on this tho)

***The following is my understanding, but not information I am positive about, so use your own judgment.***

I believe that Market Daily Value is unique to CET in Nevada.
It is similar to ADT, but involves more variables than just gambling.

Generally, ADT is the National measurement used by CET.
    MDV is Las Vegas-specific.
I believe the they factor in some value for your non-gambling spend in the Vegas market.

---There is the player with a gambling theo of $1000 per day who travels by himself, eats every meal
at the food court, and doesn't spend much money on anything else.
---Then there is the $1000 a day theo player who pays cash for pool cabanas, buys bottle service at the clubs,
and generally spreads around a lot of non-gambling Benjamins.

The first probably has a much lower MDV than the second. Makes good sense.

My home property is Bossier City Louisiana and that is where I was given the MDV of 967 so it wouldn't be specific to Nevada. Also we always eat all of our meals using our RC's or somewhere off properties either at our home property or at Tahoe. I do not spend cash for clubs, restaurants, etc.

Just wonder if this is what they think you are worth in comps = like rooms, limo, etc?

MDV is Market Daily Value...basically you're ADT in EACH MARKET (Vegas; Reno/Tahoe/Laughlin; So-Cal; Tunica; etc, etc etc)
So your ADT in the Bossier City market is 967 (which is quite good!)
and your ADT in the Tahoe/Reno/Lauglin Market is 846 (still no slouch!)
Which would basically give you a solid ADT of $900, which would give you $300 of backend comps per day (depending on room type, THAT can run $100-$200 per day; FWIW, Bally's Jubilee weekend backend-comp rate is $60ish)
So yes, you SHOULD be getting things comped-off the backend!

Thank you to the above for the great answers. To MTShooter - I apologize for hijacking the thread and to anyone else reading this thread -please read the original post and answer MTShooter's questions. I will start a thread about MDV later.

Again - I appreciate the answers but do apologize for getting off topic.

Thank you everyone. I believe my question was answered.. somewhere in there. ;-) As well as some interesting side knowledge. Am fairly certain, given the figures in replies above, that I am in fact NOT going to look forward to to any additional comps over and above RC earned. I WILL however at least try and get Resort Fees covered. Feels like I play a lot of recycled coin thru usually dollar slots, but rarely win anything substantial or even much to play for any real length of time. Hoping for better luck early and often this week!
