Nothing makes me more nuts than paying to get into a lounge just to have no where to sit unless you pay for it.

What is the best Club or Lounge that has places to sit that are free?

I don't know if free is the right word which is probably why you have not got any replies yet. I think you are wanting a club or lounge where you do not have to pay extra to get a table. You want to just simply walk in and sit down at a table and order drinks (not free either)? There are just to many lounges or bars to mention and they will not charge you extra to sit at a table. If you are talking about night clubs in the traditional sense with a dress code, DJ etc than those are at a premium and although there may be some I personally don't know about them.

You can sit at the tables at Hyde at Bellagio on an off night (when it isnt a true club) until someone comes that has reserved the table. They have several small tables available and I do know they WILL also let you sit at the big one that is on the water without a reservation (I know because there was someone sitting there when we showed up who had to move).
Whiskey down at MGM is pretty nice too, They have long comfortable couches, but it is just a small bar not a club type scene.

You might want to try 1923 bourbon and Bourlesque at Mandalay Bay. Both times I went there I found plenty of seats/couches to sit at for free.

    Them seem to be less and less free seating. But I know of a few;
The Lounge at Excaliber with live band
The Bond at Cosmo - some times a DJ and dancers
Indigo at Ballys but they do have a 2 drink min.
    The iBar at Rio
The Oasis at Stratosphere - DJ's and live bands
Someone mentioned the bourbon lounge at Mandalay bay but people are posting you have to buy 50 bucks in drinks to sit down .
Forget the name but a French themed lounge with live bands at Paris
Hope this list helps you out

Yes, I would second that recommendation! They say there's a two drink minimum and no outside drinks but it's rarely if ever enforced.

Another vote for Hyde, went there on a Thursday (Live Music), and while we didn't get to sit for free, we had a minimal spend (which we blew out of the water) to have a couch right in front of the fountains, excellent venue and great time!

Another vote for Bond as well, best lobby bar I have ever seen, just as good if not better than a nightclub when you hit it at the right time, my GF and I visit Bond every trip, so much fun!!

Totally agree on Hyde and Bond. We did both on same trip. More likely to have free seating at Bind though. Only free seating at Hyde is early in evening. We went on a Saturday night with 8 couples and had table overlooking lake. All of us still talk about it and honestly was worth every cent we paid. Even when we are all 80 we will prob remember the good time had there.

My wife and I went to Bond in 2011 and loved it. We sat at one of the tables around the outer perimeter and had a great time. Went back the next year hoping to enjoy it again. We sat down at one of those same tables and were told they were all reserved for bottle service. The only "free" tables were all full. We were really annoyed because no one was in any of the reserved tables. Went to Chandelier instead.

Has it changed since then? Or is there a time to get there or a certain place to sit?
