    My Trip Report

I had to call it a liveish TR since I've been here since 10 this morning. Was debating whether or not to do a TR. Well the decision has been made!

Apparently there was an earthquake this morning? Didn't feel a thing. Guess some of the roads are messed up around town? Haven't heard of any injuries but I haven't watched the news.

More pics and info about the trip to follow.

Had an 8:30 am flight this morning arriving in vegas around 10:00. Lots of bumps on the flight especially on final into LAS. Apple juice was the beverage of choice. Started the morning with a bacon quesadilla while waiting to board.

Also did a little shopping beforehand. Had a $10 off a $50 purchase coupon.

Cabbed it from the airport from terminal 1. No line at all. Fare was around 14.50. Handed over a $20 and off I went. Checked in via the diamond check in and basically asked for whatever was available as I was dead tired and figured I'd take a nap. I booked a strip view king room but didn't end up with that. Two queens and no strip view. Oh well. Room is definitely showing signs of wear. It's a Demolition Man themed room. Can't remember if I've ever seen the movie. Very average room.

Headed downstairs after checking in and played some 3 card. Lost a few hundo. Drink service was terrible. Girl took my order 3 times before the drink came. No memorable hands.

Played some VP and WOF in high limit and lost lost lost. At this point I was thinking I should just have taken a nap! Decided to walk over to Paris. Played some more 3 card. This lady I was sitting next had soooo much plastic surgery. Biggest lips I've ever seen. She looked terrible. Decided to play some more WOF.

Next was a trip to the Westin and Max casino that's been discussed lately on one of the threads. I've never been so figured why not. You can get a $10 match play or $5 free play for signing up for a players card. Like others have mentioned the casino was dead. Two tables open (both BJ I think). I opted for the free play and used it on vp. Played some WOF at $1 and $5 and lost. The place seems to attract a non gambling crowd as you can imagine.

Haha. I've heard about them being a problem out here before, but I think that's the first note I've seen in a room.

After the Westin I headed over to Cromwell for more 3 card and WOF. Walked away about even after a few hours. Some guy was telling me his strategy for All Star poker and talked me into playing it. I think his picture of a $62,000 hit on quarters influenced me. Ended up dropping a few hundred while he coached me on throwing money away. Left Cromwell and headed to Flamingo.

More WOF at Flamingo. Enjoyed some mystery meat in the DL as well. Actually wasn't that bad.

Even with my hits I was only up by a little less than 1k at this point. Decided it was definitely time for a break and headed back to PH where I enjoyed some wings and wine. Why I picked wine I have no idea. DL was filled.

Been in the room napping since about 6 pm. Will probably shower and head back down in a bit. Might just play some low stakes and check out all the eye candy in town this weekend!

I think that guy was trying to "scam" you on video poker...did he have you switch machines frequently?
Or change games after a winning hand?

Nice hits on the WoF machines! I did a HL WoF run back in January. Played each HL WoF from Mirage to MB (or maybe I stopped at NYNY), and then from MGM to Ballys. I remember one or two casinos did not have HL WoF, so had to pick another a lot instead. I only hit two $1175 wheel payouts from that run. I got a couple more $1175 hits later in the trip, but nothing higher.

Ok...you got my attention here. Some guy at Caesars tried to get me to play VP one time. I declined, but tell me about this "scam" so I know to look out for it.

I am thinking this guy was hoping that I would leave hands in the bonus/multiplier so that he could sit down and play it after I left. Tim?

I put him on disregard after a while and just did what I wanted going back and playing games that had multipliers.
