If we book SW with points and pay for Early Boarding can we change flights and keep the EB?

Haven't done it myself but my understanding is Early Bird Check In (not technically early boarding) is tied to your confirmation number, so if you keep the same one then you keep EB. I believe this is done by selecting "change flights" instead of canceling and rebooking. I hear you can call and do it over the phone too. If you cancel you definitely forfeit EB.

If you change your flights you won't lose EB.

What they said. If doing it online, click Change Flight instead of cancel and it will stay with you. I changed mine quite a few times when I was finalizing me departure and return and the EB is still there.

This is true... it's tied to your confirmation #. As long as they don't screw that up, you'll still have your EB.
I say "they" because (of course) that's what happened to me.
Their computer system had my confirmation # with no flight associated with it, as my 'booked' flight had been cancelled by SW.
I spent an hour on the phone with them last trip, finally got it straightened out, but only because they booked a "new" reservation for me, costing me my EB.
I asked about it, and they told me I'd get a credit....which of course never happened.
