I put together a little article about how to save some $$$ at the Nugget. I'll recap it here.

The Landry's Select Card is the bomb. It's basically free but you have to pay $25, for which you get $25 back. Get it before you go. You get points (and maybe discounts?) at Landry's restaurants. (Landry owns the Nugget.).

The best part is you can get a room upgrade if you book through the Nugget website. Flash the card when you check in.

Other things I found - discounted food from the take-out menu at Cadillac Tequila Drinking Kitchen Drinking Place or whatever its called. And, there is an $8 pizza for happy hour at Grotto if you order from the bar, weekday afternoons.

Finally, there is a prix fixe menu for Vic & Anthony's - $50 will get you fed. I think this one is worth about $80 plus you save tax and tip.

If anyone knows of other ways to save a few beans at the Nugget, let me know and I'll add it to the post. Thanks!

They have good happy hour deals at both the Chart House and Red Sushi.
If you can, get a coupon book that has a couple 2 for 1 buffet coupons (which I found out will get even a solo diner a discount). Coupon book also has a couple free beer or drink coupons at their casino bars.
Nugget is right next to ABC store for cheap water and snacks.
Since they now charge a resort fee they have free newspapers by the elevators and wifi is included in fee. What the fee covers is in your check in packet with your room keys.
Valet parking is free (before tip of course).
It's literally 50 feet from Nugget to Wax stop to get your $2 trip to airport.

Yes but will it keep me from getting an ass-chewing from the big-prick Pit Bosses at the Baccarat Tables? :grrr: Now, if it were a free-pass-card that would keep me from getting thrown out by their Very Professional Security Personnel? See... now I'm trying to get on their good side!

Just flash your limited edition Flusher business card. It opens doors. Or keeps them closed in your case.

    Thanks for the tips!
I have already printed out a copy of the Fixed Price menu from Vic and Anthony's for my trip.
Apparently you have to have that with you to get the special price.

Chart House Happy Hour looks yummy too!

So what night are we dining at Vic and Anthony's?

And don't pick me up late, I hate waiting around after I've done my nails.

The Pizza at happy hour in the Grotto was great for the price!
