Small rant- local incompetence at Fox 5 Vegas.

I worked in local TV for 37 years and just cannot believe the incompetence of the local Vegas Fox affiliate.

I called them today to see what NFL games they would have on this Sunday. Obviously we are interested in the Packers Lions game. The NFL has it listed as a time shift to 1 PM PST and my on-line betting site, it shows the same. Their (Fox5) on-line programing guide is still TBD.

Anyway, 3 transfers later on a call, this person goes to check and can't tell me their Sunday NFL programs. Why...because the Programing Dept has the week off.

The reason this is important is that if it is on local TV, we don't have to find a Sunday Ticket place to watch the game.

You can see it in the Sports Betting areas of the casinos. They have all the games on. Have a good trip and trust me, the Packers arent loosing any sleep worrying about you.

Sir, you should always (in bold, italiced and underlined) go to Rum Runner to watch a Packers game... especially a big game like this!

With the Packers/Lions moving to 3:25 (1:25 out west) on FOX, that will be the National game. I guess Vegas might show the Cardinals/49ers, and if they do... man that would suck.

Just go to Rum Runner. Have a halftime bratwurst and 25 oz PBR for me.

Used to go to either Rum Runner or Big Dog on Rancho, but since we don't rent cars anymore we just always hope to find it downtown. Chi Brewing at 4Q has Sunday Ticket, but when it is the second game, seating at the bar is an issue. One of my great pleasures is being in Vegas, playing VP at a bar and watching the Packers play.
