Venetian suite types

I have a comp from my host for 5 nights over new year with $500 FP + $100 in F&B. I asked my host about an upgraded suite, and she replied that she would book me a strip view at no extra cost, but being gold with Grazie I would normally get a strip view anyway.
My question is should I ask for a better suite at check in,agree to pay the difference and see if I get it comped back end or speak to my host again and ask for a better suite? What are the better suites?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

 

When we stay at the Venetian my host always puts us in the Prima Suite, this is a link to the Prima Suite on youtube that we stay in. Its a few years old but the suite hasn't changed one bit.

When we stay at the Palazzo he books us in the Sienna Suite. Don't have a video of that but its easly found on youtube. The youtubes of the Sienna are old but it also hasn't changed a whole lot.

I like the Prima but not a big fan of the Sienna

 

Thanks CasinoQueen, the prima suite looks real nice, I,ll see what it would be extra per night over my comp, maybe they will all be booked up with it being New Year. Only want something a little special because I will have my significant other with me, I am pretty happy with a regular suite.

 

Keep in mind that the vast majority of "suites" at V/P are nice rooms, but most would not call them suites. They are a LARGE room, but no walls or doors to separate the LR from BR. Again, they are nice, but not a suite.

Also, any upgrades over New Years will surely go to their "players".

 

5 nights over New Year's is nothing to sneeze at.
