    My Trip Report

My sixth trip of the year starts tomorrow. This time i'm heading down with my 30 year old sister. My best bud is probably going to make it up from LA as well.

This should be more interesting then my last couple trips. My sister is more of a vacation planner than I am. We're pulling an all nighter on Friday night. Doing 2 nights at Sam's Town, then 3 nights at SLS (my sister heads home on Tuesday). From there I'm staying 2 nights at Main Street Station and maybe a bit longer if the bankroll holds.

Lots of stuff planed including meeting up with a few VMB members, plenty of drinking, gambling and a trip to Zion National Park. If anyone else wants to meet up, send me a PM. The gambling budget is a couple K.

I'll try to do daily updates as far as time and wifi allows. We get in late on Friday.

Alright VMBers. Bear with me. I'm operating solely off of Vegas adrenaline right now. The kind of stuff your body only generates in the 702 area code, not what you buy off a guy named Larry in a back alley.

My sister and I made an uneventful flight out of Seattle/Tacoma International. Grabbed the rental, drove to Gold Coast to eat and park and shuttled it down to Ballys.

First order of business was to meet up with Timspeed. We tracked him and his wife down over at Planet Hollywood. He was playing some VP with Aaron from VMB. They were doing pretty well. Unfortunately we weren't, this was exasperated by the fact that we couldn't get a cocktail waitress to come around. After a half hour of fruitlessness we tried both bars. They were both packed with people, no option there. We decided to head off alone to Cosmo.

My sister, its her third trip to Vegas, loves the vibe at the Cosmo. We were able to get players club cards at the desk at 12:30 and fine two open seats at their bartop. Finally, after more than 2 hours in Vegas, our first "free drinks" Her goal was to find a good Mai Tai. My goal was easier, decent whiskey with coke. Her Mai Tai was a little funky, but otherwise we had a good time playing bartop for an hour and a half. We both lost a bit more. Let the bar hopping continue.

From there we headed to Bellagio. Their bar had better drinks, but only dollar level or higher. You can bet 2 credits and get free drink service though. I bled $150 quickly. I wanted to play some shoot to win craps. Found an empty one and sat down the same time as an older Asian guy. We were both rolling well, some Scots who were almost as crazy as me sat down as well, then a few Chinese tourists. My sister just watched. Those betting the pass line were winning a little bit on almost every shooter. We were a wild bunch, especially me. Hotting and a hollering, I must of ran around the perimeter of the table 20 times high fiving everyone. We also started a chant of "We need a cocktail waitress" at least 3 or 4 times. Seriously it took a wild group like us more than an hour before we even saw one (2-3 something AM). Unacceptable Bellagio  The table finally cooled off, and I walked ahead 200 on the craps. Down $150 including the VP. My sister wandered the casino a couple times while I was shooting. Her, the biggest flirt in the world, got a little creeped out by creepers who thought she was a prostitute. I told her she should be flattered and that like it or not, attractive single women who are walking around a casino by themselves in the middle of the night are usually hookers.

From there we walked to Cromwell. We were both a little buzzed and thought the horses outside Caesar's Palace were hilarious. They are half horse, half mermaid. We called them Merhorses and decided a group of them should be called Merhorse Schoolpeeds. We might of been more than buzzed.

Cromwell was awesome. We stayed there for 3 hours. We played VP at the bar for an hour, I was getting clobbered at .25 cent, got flustered because I only had 1 4oak at this point, switched to dollars, got killed some more, and got lucky, I hit 4 4's with a 2 kicker for $800 to put me ahead $100 on the trip. From there I saw another shoot to win machine that was half open. I sat down with a couple middle easterners and and older white guy. We had a blast. They appreciated my drunk, crude sense of humor and they both probably wanted to marry my sister. She has fun chatting with half the people in the casino. Our cocktail waitress was a Broncos fan, but she was awesome. The drinks were flying. Lots of Red Bull Vodkas to keep up awake. I finally called it around 6:30 ish. We decided to walk to the Linc. We played bartop there for a bit before catching the bus to the Gold Coast to grab the car. She had sobered up at this point, me not so much. We drove to Sam's Town.Me up $170, her down about 80 bucks.

She was ready to drop from exhaustion at this point, I was getting there. Unfortunately we had to wait until noon to check in, even with an Emerald Card. They were sold out the night before. She opted to sneak up to the parking garage and sleep in the rental car. I bled some money at Sam's Town for a few hours slow playing. 2 hour nap for me. She's going to try a few hours more. Probably going to take it easy tonight. I'm down $140 for the trip. She took lots of pictures, i'll do my best to upload them a little later.

I think we're going to head downtown tonight for a few hours. We're not going to stay out to late though. We need a full night of sleep tonight. Text me if that works for you guys.

I think that's typical these days at the Bellagio, especially at machines. You have to almost tackle a waitress to get a drink.

That's an awesome first night though, way to go! I still remember being a Vegas virgin, sitting in the Raffles at the Mirage, 7am, ordering breakfast still up from the night before. Good times.

Yeah the few times I've played on Bellagio's floor, that was my impression as well. Hopefully the rest of the trip went well!

I'm hoping he just ran out of steam for the live report. Having never done one, I can't imagine the energy it must take to see it to the end.

Hope you're busy on one hell of a roll well aaisack!

Yah Vegas burned me out.:faint: Pulling an all nighter the first night while kind of sick wasn't a good way to start things off . It was definitively a memorable trip though. Great spending time with my sister, Now that i've recovered i'll do my best to salvage this mess of a trip report.

Saturday I briefly ran into Bungadin and a couple other VMBers, but unfortunately I got a little side tracked with my sister to hang out for very long. We headed downtown around 8pm to do some casino hopping We left the car at Sam's Town, opting to take the shuttle instead.

First stop MSS for dinner. We did a couple sushi rolls, a beer flight, some garlic fries and red bulls. A great meal as always.I forced my sister to play some bar top at Boar's Head bar at MSS. She agreed that they made the best free margarita she has ever had. From there we hit the Plaza bartop. They had a surprisingly good lounge band playing a mix of classic rock and country. We hung out there for awhile playing the 9/6 Bonus Deluxe. Of course the next stop was the D to play the Sigma Derby. Lots of fun and free drinks. I hit a long shot that paid 200-1 on my quarter so I actually got out of there ahead...

I forced her to sign up for a few players cards, the free play made up for her minor loses. I played on her cards so I wouldn't mess up my daily AVGs. Maybe she gets a teaser offer? The Downtown Grand had an offer that if an existing member brings a new member to sign up for a card both of you get $10 in free play. Not bad.

We had a good time downtown and nobody tried to proposition her. Other then Zion this was the highlight of her trip.

I don't want to get to side tracked from my already hanging by a thread trip report, but I have to mention all the creeps that my sister had to deal with during this trip. Whenever she walked off by herself for any period of time she had to deal with an asshole or two who wouldn't leave her alone. At least a dozen instances by her account of people propositioning her. Even a 90 year old man with his wife! The last night in Vegas she felt like she couldn't leave the room because of a creepy guy at the SLS who was verbally angry that she rejected him. I have a greater appreciation for what some women have to put up with... I'll leave it at that.

Sunday was of course football and gambling at Sam's Town. My sister spent the afternoon shopping at the South outlet mall. My sleep schedule was all screwed up so I did a few hours at the crack of dawn, took a nap, then did a few more hours of play in between breaks watching the games at the sports book. The day was mostly uneventful. I slowly lost throughout the day. I played craps for a couple hours before dinner and broke even at that. My sister watched and enjoyed the free drinks. We ate dinner at TGI Fridays with an $18 discretionary food comp. A little light for 8k of VP and two hours of craps. A downgrade vs my previous trip. They had an awesome pick 3 rib special that was only 10 bucks though.Oh well. 7x points was pretty good. I converted most of that to free play. I think I might be on Sam's Town's shit list (or flee list) since my previous trip. I haven't received a room offer from them beyond January. Down $800 for the trip. I'll try to do Zion tomorrow. I need to get those pictures.

The trip to Zion was well worth the loss of a day in Vegas. Absolutely stunning views. The pictures don't do it justice. We woke up at the crack of dawn, checked out of Sam's Town and headed out with the car loaded up with breakfast and lunch thanks to points from Sunday. The drive was uneventful. About 2 1/2 hours up there. It's $25 per car to get in, but I'm not complaining. There are a few trails, but we didn't do to much walking. We spent most of the time driving the scenic route inside the park. You can do the drive in a half hour, but we stopped at about a dozen places for pictures and exploration. During certain times of the year they close the road to cars and do a shuttle instead. This would obviously take a lot longer so plan accordingly.

Pics (I'm having trouble uploading so I will add as I can)
