    My Trip Report

I’m going to do a quick TR on this epic VMBers trip.
Here is the cast of VBMers
Packer - The one and only. Thanks for Setting up dinner and group meetings Plus his buddy Steve.
Peepleus- Always fun to hang with my friend. TI was different but fun. Should have flew in Friday had I know he and Broncofn was going clubbing.
Broncofn- great to finally meet you. We must hit the tables and clubs soon
Firstkill- We hit a few big Banker runs at SLS and Aria so had some fun. We do need to meet up again.
Stevie D- Didn’t get to meet up but we did talk.
Hunter CET Host- Always nice to meet up with you. Thanks for taking care of my Caesar’s reservations
Naturaleight- Great to see you and had fun at the Craps table.
Natedog666- Can’t thank this guy enough. Bailed me out on my bad Sunday football picks. Just amazing to play craps and baccarat with. Kevin’s roll was great and would have like to been there when your mom rolled.

    Non VMBers
My mom, step father, and my long time friend from Dallas.

After my last one day trip to Vegas I booked another trip for this VMBer trip. I invited my Mom since she really likes slots so gave her my FP to slot. My step dad came along, and my friend’s mother lives in Las Vegas so he went to go see her. Think we were all thinking of spending time with our mothers.

I was going to take an earlier flight and get there but the early flight was full. I could have changed it to a later flight and gotten to Vegas buy 5pm but that would mean I had to rebook my mom and step dad or pick them up later. I figured that was too much trouble just to get there 5 hours sooner. Little did I know it might have been better. My friend l calls and ask if I can pick him up on the way to airport since we are now all going at the same time. I didn’t know that he expected me to give him a ride to the airport and when we get to Vegas. He tells me this so I book him his own car for less then my rental, so he can drive himself. I pick him up and he smells like he is already drunk. Great we get to Vegas and the plane is late to get to the terminal. We get to the car rental and they will not give him the car so I’m going to have to drive him. So no I’m two hours late to meet up with the VMBers. I get to Caesar’s check in Mom and step dad and Then to Cosmopolitan for me. Caesar’s check in went ok I had to get moved from Octivaus to Augustus Tower. Since it is in my profile they made a few calls and got Mom to Augustus tower. Mom had poop vision so it is hard for her to get around and she knows where Augustus tower is to things in Caesar’s. Checking in at 1am was kind of tough with the half marathon on Sunday, but good job my the Caesar’s staff.

I get to Cosmopolitan and I got check in and I’m told I have a CITY ROOM???? WTF. They gave my room away. I said that is not what was booked and she looks and finds me a Terrace One bedroom. OK that will work. I get my key and head to the Wynn. My buddy is passed out in the car so I call up talk to FirstKill and he is in the taxi line about to go back to SLS. I tell him to meet me at Wynn and I’ll give him a ride back. I call Pleepleus and he and Broncofn and paperposter show up but they were done and ready to go. I had to drop my buddy off at his mother’s house, so firstkill and I head out. I was going to drop off firstkill and then my buddy but firstkill said we should hit the tables so why not.
We drop off my buddy. Good thing as there is no way he would have made it driving himself.

We hit the SLS and I’m waiting for my marker and the shoe is on a big bank run. The shoe is a Banker shoe 20 banks to 7 players. First kill and I both made some money and we color up and leave. I call up pleepleus and he is at TI so I head there to play some blackjack. Turns out I have not been there in two year so my LOC is not active and it will take a few calls to activate.
I meet up with Pleepleus at the blackjack table. I don’t like the vibe of the game so I did not play. We talk and then it was getting really late like 4am so I head back to Cosmopolitan to sleep.

    Sunday morning.
Sunday the day of the half marathon where the close the strip. I get my football bets in. I take Cleveland, New Orleans, and Seattle. and I call Pleepleus and he is still out. I call packer and he is out so I get a hold of Firstkill. He is going to head to the airport and I asked how is he going? He said cab. I was like Good luck with that today.

I head over to Caesar's to have breakfast with my mom and see how she is doing. Caesar's sends me a gift basket and ask how things are going and if there is anything Far East Marketing can do.

My phone rings and it is the Cosmopolitan calling to apologize for the mix up at check. Asked if my room was ok and anything they can do. They said my room should have been held and that should not have happen. End result is some FP chips and a filo credit to my account. ??? funny thing is I have not played one hand at either place.

Mom and I enjoy Breakfast and I told her I would catch up with her later tonight for dinner.

FirstKill calls and says there is NO CABS at SLS, so I head over there. The parking elevators is broking so I'm not walking up and down the stairs so I pick him up and we head to Aria.

Aria was fun. We had a great time. Another Asian guy comes and joins our table. We go up and down finally the new guy goes all in on the bank. We all have big bet and player turns over a face card and 4 and we have two monkeys. Player draws a 4 and now the player is 8 and we are still at 0. The guy turns and says we have legs. And then picks up the card and throws the card on the floor under the table by mistake. Keep in mind he has $5800 on the Bank. And first kill and I have a big bet too. The floor freaks out and calls card down and was going to call surveillance but I said just hit the button on the shoe it will show what the card is. We dig the card up and it was a 9. They hit the button on the shoe to confirm and pay us. This was really fun. Firstkill looked at the time and it was time to head to the airport. I looked at the score and was losing so I bet $1000 more on Cleveland on the 2nd half. I drop Firstkill off and he text me later that he got to the airport too soon. I'm thinking his flight is delay, nope the airport is empty. We could have finished the shoe.

    more later.

"Throwing the card on the floor under the table, by mistake", then getting the 9 against the Player 8, to win!
    What a great story!

The guy had a little over $5800 and I had a stack of blacks and so did firstkill so it enough that they wanted to make sure it was correct.

So I'm guessing there was an electronic card reader there? Is that standard at bac tables now? Are the cards all read before the shoe is dealt? Or does the dealer have to pass each card under a reader first before giving it to a player to turn over?

I think it's pretty standard at the newer casinos. The cards are scanned as they are pulled out of the shoe.

I think it is standard at all the high limit rooms. Or at least the ones I have played at the last couple years. I don't recall seeing them at the mini bac tables, but it has been a while since I played at one

Great TR pp. Nice banker shoe.

Cosmo sucks. You keep getting screwed there and I keep losing money there. I'm staying away.

Hope to meet with you sometime in the near future.

Totally agree on all points! Regarding Cosmo, as much as I loved that place, I found myself going to Aria more and more this year. Cosmo and I just sorta drifted apart.

I head back to Cosmo and Call pleepleus he is still sleeping. Packer didn’t answer neither does stevieD so I finally get a hold of Naturaleight and he is at Wynn. I head that way and it is a pain the butt to get there. They are starting to close Las Vegas Blvd. It takes me an hour and half to get to the Wynn and I see the sign that my car will be stuck here after 2pm so I meet up with Naturaleight and we have to move are cars to Valet or Encore. I’m trying to figure this out an then I get a call back from Nate. I go and move my car and I go meet Nate. We go to the high limit lounge and talk over drinks. Natedog is a great guy. He got the casinos figured out and was able to give me some great advise.

We head to the Craps table and this was part of Nate’s TR so you already know about some jerk moving in our space when Natedog was on a roll.

We go to play Baccarat at Natedog’s private table. Nate showed the big banker run. We both made a little money and then I color up. Natedog was going to take a nap and I had to figure out how to get back to Cosmopolitan and my friend had to be in south Vegas in 4 hours so did not know how long it would take with the road closed. I call packer and he answers so I go up to his Salon Suite to meet him.
Steve and Packer just finish a round of golf so I dropped in to say hello and see what was going on. I look out the window and see the nice golf course and all the back roads at a stand still. We said we would meet later and I head out to get back to Cosmo.
I get a text from Natedog and “Bet the patriots” So I load up big time on them. I get to the Cosmo sports book and bet even more on the NE Patriots. I moneyline. I parlay with the over. And took them straight.

I watch the game in the room and sure enough the Pats Kill the Colts. THANK YOU NATEDOG.

My all losing day with only Green bay winning for me turn big negative to a big positive swing.

    continue later.

Before I can even finish this TR. I have another trip booked.

Thanks for PayTriple, Pleepleus, and Packer going back next week. I'm booked to go back. LOL I said this was my last trip for the year, but I said that three or four trips ago.

PP, that's great. The exploits of this crew should be so much fun to read.
Do remember to plan on a contribution to a collegiate "endowment."

Yes PP, cant wait to see that. Should be interesting. FYI being the tallest, fastest, and a former colligate basketball player, I usually give to the "collegiate endowment" first! Just saying. If not :vomit:
