Would you take the Wrap around suite at Cosmo or stay at the Venetian???

I have my room booked for next week at the Venetian (normal bella room) via my host.

My brother is going out there with his gf and several of his friends since they won a bunch of money on football. All of his friends are staying at Bellagio/Aria. I'll probably take my brother out to eat and won't be spending much time with their group.

I received an offer at Cosmo so I booked it for him. I guess they will put me in a wrap around suite premium view. This is booking without a host. I remember last time I stayed there when I got murdered, my host wouldn't give me a wrap around. Maybe I was too new of a player. Maybe getting murdered put me higher up in the room ladder. She did e-mail me with a great offer when I stopped in there to get my promo chips last trip (staying at the Venetian).

A little background about the Cosmo. My biggest loss has been there. The casino is dangerous, but love the room and hot girls that flock there. I actually like the place. The problem is not many people play baccarat there. If there are bacc players playing, it's usually non-comradie and everyone bets against everyone.

A little background about Venetian. I really like the casino. Baccarat there is lively and fun. One of my favorite places to play. Pitboss/dealers are awesome. Contrarily, Cosmo pitbosses have been bad more often than not, in my experience. My host did hook me up with a Prima suite for my November trip. I think next weekend is busy so I can't get a nice suite.

I was going to give my brother the wrap around at cosmo, but he said he don't care. I'm leaning on giving him the wrap around so his buddies have a place to hang out. The group is mid-20's to early 30's of guys and girfriends. Most of them have their own room so they will be scattered throughout Bellagio/Aria.

Would you take the wrap around (better room, worst casino) or stay at the Venetian (worst room, better casino)?

I'll probably play a little bit at the casino I'm not staying at. Also, will be playing some bacc at MB.

    Stay at Venetian.

Playing somewhere you don't like just sucks. And if you're losing...well, you know how it is (especially if other players are betting against you and the pit bosses are being pricks).

You're in Vegas plenty and you play at levels that will almost always get you good rooms. So it isn't like this is your one chance to stay in a Reacharound. And a regular Venetian suite ain't exactly slumming it. Be the cool brother and stay/play where you know you'll enjoy it.

Of course, this is a great time of year to enjoy the terrace at Cosmo...:rolleyes2:

2nd vote for venetian, I like Cosmo too, but last weekend they beat me up pretty good while staying there
and didn't even get my losses right for points

stay where you play and let you're little brother enjoy the eye candy and impressing his friends

The room is definitely better at Cosmo. But how important is that? If you plan on spending most of your time away from the room, stick with venetian

Riddickbull, chose the luckier casino. A few hundred bucks of a free room is just baccarat tax anyways.

I like the cosmo rooms better but stay where you like to gamble. I got a room at cosmo and lost 6k for the free room in a few hours.

Don't gamble where you don't like the dealers.

I don't like Venetian since about 10 years ago. but if you are winning there. Play where you win.

I had the wraparound suite the last time and it was a great view and nice room but not worth losing money.

    Thanks for the reply everyone.

I have never stayed in a wraparound, so I guess this was the dilemma.

I guess it's unanimous, Venetian it is. You are right, play where I make money and enjoy it. The rooms will always be there. I'll be spending a lot of time having fun outside my room.

V/P is regular room - okay a bit larger.

Cosmo is - wow - open balcony, fountains hopefully... really? Seems like an easy choice for me.

RB, the wraparound is nice. It is worth staying in one sometime when you think you will spend more time in the room. Or, at least, have the time to hang out on the balcony and relax. Save it for a future trip

If the OP was asking which I would choose to stay in, it'd be Wraparound all day long.

But given the circumstances and casino preference, I'd agree. Stay at the V and give the wrapper away....this time.

Any chance to tell the Venetian host about the Cosmo offer in the hope of getting a better room at the Venetian?

Stay at the Venetian if you have better luck there. That wraparound will become a place you don't want to be if you take a hit on the casino floor. Have fun whatever you decide to do.

Cosmo for sure. Gambling is random, previous trip won't affect future one. The view from cosmos and location is worth it.

If it has to be Venetian stay at Cosmo. If you can switch over to Palazzo, stay there.

I would definitely stay where you are comfortable, especially if you start losing in the place you are staying.
