    I have been there in early October.
    Yes, the CEE-MENT POND was open.
    But.........
    damn !...that was the coldest water !
    I was there one April and my legs turned blue - it was SO COLD !

    Completely agree, THAT is some COLD water!

    Binions is much warmer due to it being actually in the sun unlike California.

    I would not swim OR hang out. Not a fun area.

    Not a large or long pool -
    but I have swum laps in it for exercise.
    ( Is "swum" a word ? )
