My first drink of the trip is a Black Cherry Lemon Drop. It's yummy! I'm a sucker
for Lemon Drops.



Not sure what I'll get next.....

 

The first time I ordered this I made the waiter who wears gauges promise me that the chef knew how to fry chicken. Boneless fried chicken with gravy on mashed. I've enjoyed it four times.

 

V got the special of the month that's not on the menu. A Susan G. Komen breast cancer awareness Hibiscus Pink Martini. Part of the proceeds go to the foundation, and he got a pink bracelet to stylishly go with his green VMB one.

 

Boneless fried chicken, now that I love even more! I promise to try it someday.

 

So I went with the Black Cherry Lemon Drop again. V switched to the 3G Old Fashioned.


Some of the other choices....

 

The restaurant was not crowded at all for 8:30pm on a Friday night. We were seated in a cozy booth alcove with a TV above us. There was nobody else in this little area while we ate.

Our server was great. She was helpful, funny, but not too intrusive.

We both chose the Shrimp George which are crab stuffed shrimp with a sauce accompanied by julienned vegetables and a rice pilaf. It was good, but not great. The star of the show was my Caprese Salad. V got a Caesar Salad and we both enjoyed bread served with a butter in an herb sauce. No dessert tonight, we were full.

So what does an eager finger clicking slot player who is excited to wear her new VMB band and orange finger clicker do on her first night in Vegas???

She's in bed by 10pm in her new cozy jammies that we're part of her birthday surprise from her mom. Her hubby, V, is snoring away next to her as she tries to upload pictures (unsuccessfully) to her trip report. Granted, V pre-gamed with almost 3/4 of a small bottle of Bulleitt Rye Whiskey plus 2 cocktails at dinner.

Yep, first night in Vegas and my $3k bankroll hasn't been touched. My alarm is set for 5am. I love early morning gambling when the casino isn't too crowded.

So folks, I hope to post of a big early win tomorrow morning while wearing my lucky accessories.

Good luck tomorrow! Day 1 seems to be a minimal gambling day for me on a lot of trips.

 

So let's try again with several food pictures from last night at Triple Geoege. My phone was being very persnickety last night. And it's a new phone since the last trip....in my July report you'll recall I had charging issues.

Some action on Fremont Street last night. Action that didn't include me as I slunk to the room to go to bed.

 

So I saw Walking Dead 2 at Golden Nugget last night. Anybody know where the Original WD is Downtown?

I like staying at Golden Nugget, but I didn't enjoy playing here as much the last time.

Ha, ha...so funny and true!

I hope the Finger Clicker method works in my favor too. I'm about to go find out. This summer my winnings were on The Strip. I would hope my odds would be better Downtown.
