Caesars Palace 3 years back, walk up to a 15 line Cats machine, with 60 bucks on the TITO, figure WTF lets give it a shot at 2 credit per line. Hit nothing first spin and see the credits are WAY low, yeah you guessed it it was a dollar machine not a penny, down 30 real fast, 30 and change left figure WTF hit another 2/line spin and win $840 on that spin. Nice accident :)

Tropicana in AC at 1a.m. down to my last $25. Sit at a $25 min BJ table and go up $1500 over 3 hours having a blast with the other guys at the table. Around 4a.m. I decided to make one $400 bet and call it quits no matter what....

    My Hand: 9, 2
    Dealer Hand: Showing 3

stupid me should have just hit...I decided to double down and get an 8...normally.I would be feeling great about a hard 19 on a dealers 3....not with $800 on the table.

Dealer hits a 5 card 21 and I spend the next 20 minutes chasing back my $800 only to lose my last $700. The table went from 3 hours of winning energy to the pit boss comping me a buffet and everyone getting up with a frown. I was 22 years old and felt like shit the next few weeks. a decade later and that moment still sticks in my head but with much less regret as I really only lost my $200 bank roll and had one hell of a night. Funny how we have all played hundreds or thousands of hands and only those few moments stick out.

    You don't double 11 vs a dealer 3?

Was in the Flamingo a just walking through, you know in the south entrance out the north entrance, when I stopped at the 3 card poker table. Nothing but $5 dollar tables, never looked to see it was a higher limit table. I put my $5 bets down, and the guy said, sorry it was $10. Ok so I upped by bet to $10 on the ante, then he told me I needed to up my bet to $10 on the trips too. I was ready to leave, but the dealer said, "Come on, one hand, it's only $5 more on each bet", so I let him deal me one hand. Boom, straight flush, $400. $10 for him $390 for me, thank you very much. Got up and left.

    Love this!
I've also hit dog-track tri-boxes that I bet on the wrong race!
Also - that "hold all tickets until races are final"?
Yep - I actually had to dig through the trash to find a winning Exacta bet after an objection changed the result! (Obviously, I now hold all of my tickets until the race is actually final!)

You said you were stupid to not have just hit, so either you don't usually double 11 vs 3, or you regretted it. If you had just hit and only lost $400 would that be a good memory?

Was playing PAI GOW at my local poker room during a tournament break I was standing behind a few players (They let 4-6 people bet on the same betting spots per hand) I was betting $1 on the fortune bonus $50 on the hand and another $5 bucks on the Evny Bonus (which pays odds on straight or better) I lost 3 hands in a row (Or I thought I did), I had $52 bucks left and I placed a $1 Fortune bet placed another $50 down with my other $1 chip behind it, but this time it was inside the Envy circle I didn't realize I had pushed the hand before and thought I was betting just on the hand , well once I saw this I went to grab my chips "NO MORE BETS DICE OPEN" Insert Asian accent shit I betting $50 on the hand and $50 on the Evny, well the old lady who was also playing the same spot as me let me handle the cards, 1st card joker, A,K,Q,10, 9 all clubs was sweeting the last card so hard it was a club but a 4 of clubs missing out on the progressive pay day which is max $20k, but hitting 100-1 on my $50 plus $1000 on my fortune dollar bet for $6000 total, now the cool part I played my Flush below and Joker A (AA) up top, any hand with AA at the time gets to pick a envelope which range from $5 to a $500 voucher (they don't put multiple bills because it would be easy to feel) well sure enough I picked the $500 Voucher $6500, Oh I busted the low stakes poker tournament a few hands back from the break which was great because I wanted out of that place.

Where was this at that they allowed multiple people betting per spot. Was it in the States? How did people decided the way the hand was set?

I heard from a british dealer on a cruise that is allowed in england.

I don't recall which casino it was, but I had some old lady putting bets on my PaiGow hand once in Vegas. The casino had no problem with it; I wasn't thrilled about it, but let her do it (I think the table was full). I was the one sitting at the table so I played the cards my way since it was my hand..

My first surprise was at the Rio playing five hands JoB video poker, quarters. Put a hundred in the machine, hit the max bet a couple times, noticed my money was going down fast (yeah, it was the Rio). CW comes by as I remember just holding a Ace when the music starts! It was a 50 cent machine (dumbass) and I had hit a Royal for $2000!

The funniest - I no longer drink AND gamble. I had free tickets - actually one as I was alone - to the Phantom of the Opera at Venetian. Hated the show so I got drunk, real drunk. Played Three Card Poker afterwards. Bought in for $500 and played for a bit with a real social table. At some point I was talking and holding up the table so the dealer asked me to make my bet. I grabbed a stack of chips, she dealt the cards. I looked down - horrified to see I had seven green chips on the pair plus! I thought I had grabbed reds. Too late. First card Ace of spades. Not bad. Second card three of spades. WTF? Yes, the third card filled in with the two of spades for a straight flush! $7,000 plus the ante crap for a drunken mistake. I tipped the dealer and booked it! Best ever mistake!

Was staying at the Jockey Club back in August of 09, the wife and I were out drinking gambling all day, so we decided to go back to the room and take a nap.

I woke up about 11pm that night and decided to take the $83 I had left in my pocket and head over to PH for a bit, then come wake my wife up afterwards.

Played some penny slots and stayed even for a bit, get ready to leave and said screw it lets put a 20 in this Sizzling 7s game....90 credits per spin, BAM within four spins "Call attendant, hand pay" $5037.xx I think it was. HOLY SHIT!!!

I must have waited for an attendant for 30+minutes, I ended up telling the guy playing next to me I'd give him $100 if he'd go find me one, as I waited I looked down and realized it wasn't 90 cents I was betting per spin but 90 nickles per spin lol. Regardless I stayed out till 7am and came back to the room with $4200,

I was in Vegas with a friend on two different occasions. The first time, he had an inkling on a 30-1 horse. He put 20 on it. He won 600 on it. The next year he had an inkling on an 80-1 horse, he gave the cashier 100 to bet 50 with 50 change. I think he got distracted and said, "yes," when the cashier asked him if he wanted to bet all 100, and he didn't check his ticket before leaving the counter. He ended up winning 4000. What was amazing to me was that I only saw him do this twice. And it was a longshot both times.

I just remembered a goof from last year. I was playing a new Superman penny slot that was $5 max bet (or so I thought). After inserting a $200 TITO (had a nice run on a couple of other slots), I noticed you could change characters to Lex Luthor. I decided to switch, then hit max bet. The first spin racked a $200 win. WOW! Second spin did the same. Up to $600! Then I noticed I was playing $25 per spin. What the..... Cash out!. When I changed characters from Superman ($5 max bet to Lex Luthor, the max bet went to $25. There was one prompt that I didn't read closely when I switched and I think that is what screwed things up (for the better).

Palomar card club in San Diego, I think 4-6 people can bet each spot, this is very common in San Diego I have even seen more then 1 betting spot for BJ tables, the person with the highest bet gets to handle the cards and set them

I am a horse player (tho I am not very good). So back in 1993, I took my girlfriend to Philadelphia Park on the day they are running the Arkansas Derby. I literally have the worst day possible, I didn't hit a single ticket and going into the Derby I am down about $1200. Being drunk and mad I decide not to even handicap the race, I ask my girlfriend at the time what her favorite color was, she says Pink and I decide the jockey wearing pink is who I am betting on. I go up and toss $500 down on the horse. When I get back to our seats, I realize Rockamundo is the long shot at 99-1. I start cursing at myself under my breath, when is the last time a long shot won a stakes race. Rockamundo low and behold pulled it out and ended up paying 108-1. That was the day I knew, I won the race and found my wife, we are still happily married :).
