I wasn't saying it isn't important, or very important, I am just saying that there is more to Vegas than those things.

Of course, email me your confirmation number and request and I'll set whatever up. Also send me your TR number. Based on your historical play I'll let you know if I can comp upfront or room charge.

Our comp rates for rooms haven't changed, so comp rooms will be as always, based on your avg daily play and the dates. Some folks will say "I always get comp rooms", but when you look at the dates they normally come out, they are light and they are trying this time to come out during a busier time. This can cause confusion. Comp rooms aren't constant, they are largely based on what date the trip is occuring, and entirely on your average daily play average not your tier status. To see about a host I'd have to look at your play history. That being said I am always here to help anyone on this board with anything you need.

The issue was the mailers do have fine print that allow for changes on the offer at any time. The legalese on the bottom makes it pretty clear. Starting in March the offers make very clear what specific dates are available. If you look on the bottom of the Jan-Feb offers it does say subject to availability. You can still book the offers for Jan and Feb, just at specific dates that aren't blacked out. Any time we make changes like this, these transitions happen and people are going to get upset. "It is what it is" does mean what you say it means, nothing I can do about the offers themselves. That being said, I do work with my customers on ways to make up the difference. Al of this being said, I totally, totally, understand where everyone here is coming from. It isn't personal. Someone up in corporate wasn't plotting an evil plan to hurt everyones feelings and scare them off. They made the decision to keep our company solvent and give it space to grow. Just wait, all the other companies will follow suit eventually. We won't be the only ones. I am sure everyone will be complaining about mlife, cosmo, etc in due time.

Thanks buddy, exactly what I was saying. The vast majority of my book I consider to be my friends. I only keep people in my book that I get along with, see eye to eye with, and enjoy their company and visits. Them coming in is more than just business to me, I get to see my favorite people and make sure they have a great time. Sure, they may get (x) less in free play, but guess what, I give them more in airfare, or I give them better comp seats at shows, or take the to dinner myself, etc., etc. Like I said before, there is more to vegas and being a vip player than free play and comps. It is about feeling special, having a good time, and knowing those losses you incur are offset by feeling it was worth every penny. Ask any of my customers they will agree. I can't dedicate my time to them every trip, but they see a lot of me.

Yes, we just added a new pit where the old poker area was. I like it a lot, I always thought it looked depressing for customers coming in from parking or the mall to see a bunch of dead quiet and serious looking poker players, lol. We still need to do some detail work on the new pit, but it is consistently full on Fridays and Saturdays.

Yes, of course we can provide comps at any establishment on property without RC's. I do it all the time. It is a great tool when I want to "wow" a customer that just took a big loss or business I am trying to develop. For most trips I make sure customers know when I comp off their folio RC's get take first, but I won't nickel and dime them on RC's if they want to hit up one of our restaurants, I do comp slips without taking RC's all of the time. It isn't something I do for customers every single time though, it is a tool I use to wow someone or unscrew a bad situation. Or just to be nice because they are nice to me. If a customer is a jerk they can expect to use RC's, if they are a lady or gentleman, I'll always comp the whole thing (this is a joke, but be nice to the hosts they will give you more if you do)

Good question, I haven't noticed a reduction in tourneys but if you do a lot of them and notice it, then there must be some truth to it. I'll ask around and see if it is a reduction in tourneys, or a change in the way offers are sent out for them.

It's a small town, people switch properties and we have relationships everywhere. I have a host contact or friend at every major property, club, and tough to get into restaurant in town.

Hey Hunter, what about platinum players who book through you, can you ever comp off the resort fees?

The poker room is between the Earl of Sandwhich and the sportsbook now? Can you still walk through there to exit out the south mall entrance? Seems like a weird place to put the poker room as that seemed to me to be primarily a passage for people in and out of the casino.

Any comps are based solely on play. So once a customer plays above comp level that covers the room, then we look at resort fees.

It was a bit goofy at first but it is fine now, it really isn't that big of an obstruction

Yup...I saw the new location last month and it seemed like a very awkward location to me. Loud, cramped, and too many distractions for a poker area. With that said, I do like the new party pit. I don't know if they got additional dealers or not, but there were definitely some hot dealers at the pits. Aaron5 introduced me to Hunter, while he was at one of the BJ pits. I don't know how he can focus on his job when he has hot girls dancing in the pit across from him and then hot girls dealing in front, behind, and beside him.

Do they still have the group of 3:2 blackjack tables with party pit dealers near the high limit room? There were no stages for dancers there - but it was a good place to have party pit dealers and still be able to play with decent rules.

    Hi Hunter,

As most other people, we have also noticed our freeplay and offers declining. I'm not sure if it's due to our play or the bankruptcy but we haven't changed our playing habits and are both Diamond. I was wondering if you as hosts are having to be a bit more choosy as to who you work with now? As you know, we have our host at Caesars but for our upcoming April trip (for my 50th birthday) he doesn't seem as willing to work with us as he did in the past.

Had I booked our rooms myself from the calendar, I could have had two premium fountain view rooms at Planet Hollwood comped, one in my name and one in my husbands. We had been doing it this way every November when we go for our Son's birthday through our host as I wasn't sure if he would have received credit for our play if I had done it myself. Instead of booking the way I asked, he booked one room in my husbands name and the other in my Son's name. The first room is comped and the first three nights of the second room is comped with a rate of $77 for the fourth night. As my Son is platinum he will also have to pay the resort fees for all 4 nights. Also, I can now only apply my husbands freeplay offer, which was lower than mine.

Anyways, I just wondered if maybe it would be better for us to just book everything ourselves from now on?

    Thanks, see you in April!

The host you are coded to gets credit for your play regardless if you book it yourself on the TR site or if your host books it.

    Hey Hunter:

Looking forward to swinging by the H/L at the end of March/beginning of April and finding you. Would love to introduce myself. Used to stay at PH all the time - just decided to mix it up this trip and hit the lovely Harrah's so I can sulk at McDonald's after a rough night. :)

I have no questions - just wanted you to know I appreciate you taking the time and energy to do this.

Well, I just got offered a job that basically doubles my income, so we'll see what happens. Thanks for your time.

A softball question for you Hunter. Do all the rooms at PH have coffee machines in them now or just some? The one I was in last time did which was nice. Any idea what type of machines they are? I liked how compact it was and easy clean up.

+1! Hunter is awesome for answering everyone's questions and has been a huge help for my trips and many, many others on this board. Thanks Hunter!

And Harrah's is even more dangerous for those sulky foods, with White Castle next door just opening. I hear they are the king of grease (which I must try!)
