My wife usually plays craps during the day at the Fremont and Golden Nugget. She always wins pretty big at the Nuggets. At night we will be at the D or Fremont. I am going to try to get her explore the casinos at the other end next time, Golden Gate/MSS. Downtown Grand is nice but always dead. Last time we played, we were the only ones there at the one table they had open at like 3pm on a Friday.

For me its hard to beat the atmosphere at the Cal and MSS. The Cal on weekends with all the peeps from Hawaii can be extremely fun. I always stay at the GN and if I'm in the mood for craps it is definitely worth the walk as opposed to playing on Fremont, IMHO.

Just left a few weeks ago. MSS corner table next to stairs absolutely still my favorite. Had the pleasure of playing with female Golden Arm ( cannot remember name without research) which was a blast and she was kicking ass again. Drink service, odds, and crew are hard to beat. Five dollar tables up even though it was the weekend. Love it at the D but can never get on the table so we wandered down to El Co for the first time. Five dollar tables were up, crew was fun, and drink service was outstanding. They actually have one waitress dedicated for beer only while another waitress was handling your cocktails. Fantastic

Golden Gate and The Cal are my favorite spots. Even though it's only 2X odds at the Cal, the crew and atmosphere are hard to beat.

No one mentioned Binons Cowgirl table. Usually a good time and decent five times odds.

Only thing I don't like is it's 2x odds only.

Yeah. I usually don't go over 2Xs anyway most of the time with my smaller BR.. but I agree I'd be better if you could.

Yeah, I start out at 2x odds, then press it a unit every other time it hits.

Add me into the Golden Gate camp - I've always had fun dealers and they do a good job of keeping the locals in check.

I love playing at the GG, but can't take the loud music. The speakers are right over the table, and even the dealers there (who are usually GREAT) say they've asked for the volume to be lowered. Half the time at the table is trying to get everyone's bets straight, since no one can be heard, and it results in some long stops in the action while things get sorted out. Also like Binion's front table, and the Golden Nugget, but I rarely can win there anymore. Main Street Station is ALWAYS crowded, it seems. I actually like the Plaza because it's less busy, and DTG (when you can find tables open) has fun dealers, some of them a bit older who really know the game well and get friendly with players.

    Top 2 for us are:
    1. Main Street Station because of the 20X odds
    2. Fremont because of the roll counters and the players there.

    1. Behind Golden Nugget there are 4 dumpsters, only one of which is green. Knock on the one to the right of it six times... "Crooked Tony" will likely come out to greet you, let him know you're down for a game and discretely slip him an Andrew Jackson. Help yourself to the leftovers, and enjoy whatever music is playing from afar. No players card needed.

Not sure, he doesn't actually talk. Usually only mumbles, and blinks a lot... Really knows how to manage a table though.

I think MSS sweats it too much. I can have 10 rolls just fine, and then one dice doesn't hit the back wall, and I get the lecture.

I think I've seen him in that alley...50-something...graying hair... toothpick hanging out of his mouth... 60s era, slightly tattered & wrinkled pin-stripe suit, holding a 12-ounce can of Falstaff or PBR?
    Was that him?

Who among us has NOT had "the lecture"?
It's like we're all teenagers & the stick-man is our cranky dad.
