Do you know of any clubs - existing or planned - that are legitimate competitors with XS? I've been to HK, Omnia and Marquee and, imo, only XS qualifies as "one of the best parties in the world" on any given Friday/Saturday night. Omnia is plush but just doesn't have the surreal party attitude of XS imo.

Jewel is the new club at Aria. It feels alot like Omnia and HK.

XS is still one of my favorites. Dayclub season starts next week and once they start their nightswims, Encore Beach Club is where it's at!

You pretty much just rattled off the top 4 clubs in the world. Did you meet any women at XS?

It was funny. As soon as I walked outside, a shorty basically attached herself to me as I was walking around. Then I got stuck in line by the pool waiting to get back in.

A good looking young lady chatted me up while we were waiting in line, she pushed me for some dirty dancing and I got her phone number and a smooch before she left.

I really only go clubbing maybe 2-3 times/year these days so I'm not a pro clubber like I was 10 years ago, especially since there's a new generation of clubbers.

I know how to dress well so that goes a long way. Ladies can tell the difference between a $1k outfit and a $300 outfit. Also, I'm a confident/independent guy and I have a bit of a clubbing godfather vibe since I've been doing it for so long.

I sort of disagree here. I tried Omnia for the first time on Friday and it was pretty damn awesome. While I do think I like XS a bit better, I really liked Omnia. I liked the heart of Omnia room a lot, and I also think the sound and lighting at Omnia are just a bit better than XS. On the flip, side, the drinks and drink service at XS are better. Staff at XS a recall a little bit friendlier As well. As far as "party vibe" goes, IMHO they are about equal. There did seem to be more people coked out of their mind or rolling at XS, but that type of thing certainly doesn't appeal to our impress me. While I give the edge to XS, Omnia and Marquee are certainly close competition.

XS is incredible, everything just feels top notch and service wise none of the other clubs compare IMO.

Nightswim should be interesting as my host at XS told me they are installing a rotating DJ booth to make the outdoor area more viable(and certainly make outdoor tables more expensive!)

How can you tell? Really just curious. I've never done either so I don't know what to look for. Seems like it would add to the party instead of people just strolling around like tourists.

How much does it cost to get in? And do you have to buy a bottle or can you just walk up to the bar and get drinks?

In my younger years I was club bouncer, then later on I was a cop.... It isn't hard to tell. I think the high table minimums sometimes lead people to overdo it. When people are so messed up at a club that they have to be helped out with a wheelchair it doesn't seem like a good time to me. To each their own I guess.

If you go in a group with mostly women you can get on the guest list and only the guys will have to pay a cover charge. Or you can get presale tickets that usually cost $20 to $30. At Omnia or Hakkassan (but not XS.) You can purchase a $100 bar card and you pay no cover. You also pretty much get to bypass the whole line.

You don't have to get table service at any of those clubs. I don't do it. Pretty much the only advantage to a table is that it gets you a place to sit down. The good thing about XS is that you can go outside in the pool area if you just want a place to sit down. Also if you travel with women you can get them to use their charms to convince some sucker just to let you sit at their table. :) The lines at the bars are pretty bad at all of these clubs, but if you want bartenders to serve you before everyone else and longpour all your drinks it isn't hard to make that happen. It is a hell of a lot cheaper to get a bartender to take care of you than to get a table.

All of the big clubs in Vegas are pretty cool, definitely something you should try at least once.

where do i go to purchase a "bar card"? This works for Omnia?

The bar cards are for Hakkassan or Omnia. You get them on their website for the specific night you want to go. Just be forewarned you will burn through that bar card pretty quickly there.

At night the coked crowd will be really high energy and doing shots and not be fazed by them...somewhat aggressive and have the superman syndrome (nothing can hurt me) going on. The crowd rolling will be having a great time dancing and touching and probably not drinking so much. Really late night and into early morning the coke crowd will be agitated, drunk and not having fun. The rolling crowd....still having fun. Just my personal opinion.

sounds like fun to me. I didn't see any agitated people @ xs last time and I was there past 3am
