Trips to Las Vegas

I received an email from my host saying that as of October 10th such fees will be charged on comped rooms though they can be comped off on the back end. Fees would cover Internet access for up to 4 devices and the fitness center, possibly some other things as well but those two things came up in conversation as I want to try and work out most days while I am in Vegas in November.

He was as nice as he could be about it -- I love my host -- but this still is not great because back end comps would first have to go to covering these fees before covering meals and other charges.

I can't really be upset though as Wynncore has treated me very well. I have a long trip coming up and my Tower Suites room is comped for the entire trip plus a lot (for me) of Free Credit earned through an end of year promo Wynncore apparently runs each year, with a little F&B to boot (so access to the private lounge). I therefore feel like I can't complain but as this is a significant move by Wynncore I wanted to pass it on to my fellow VMBers who enjoy Wynncore like I do.

Not great news but glad to pass on the info Sonya as I get so much info from the VMB gang and you make it all possible!

I marked your post informative. I wish there were an icon for "angry to learn but informative" ;-)

Wow.

Glad I switched to Mlife last year. At least you know what to expect.

Damn they would do this before i go there. And I'm staying 3 days. :faint:
If you booked the reservation before they instituted the fees, you might be able to get them removed. I booked a Tower Suite room while there were no additional resort fees, and they tried to nail me with them when I checked out. I pointed out that the offer I received specifically did not have any resort fees added, and they removed them from the bill.

We're not big Wynncore players but did stay there on two comped nights earlier this year. We weren't winning ANYTHING so we didn't play as much as we usually would. We didn't expect to get any more offers but just received another for two comped nights and $100 resort credit. However this offer also states that a resort fee will be charged. I guess if you play up to their expectations the fee can be comped on the back end but we're not willing to risk paying resort fees so we're passing on the offer. We don't pay resort fees anywhere else so why should we pay them for the privilege of staying at Wynn?

I guess this is to be expected as the economy picks up and people are willing to pony up the extra fees..

Been to Vegas 30 times over a 20 year period and have never set foot inside the Wynn...thats unforgiveable:thumbsdown:

I am glad I already moved away from Wynn.
Never payed resort fees there before, but I did pay the internet fee once
when I was desperate in need of wifi in the room.

Everybody hates resort fees. Unfortunately, casinos not only won't get rid of the fee, they aren't going to increase it. Wynn is just following CET, which started charging platinum members resort fees couple years ago.

Business must be bad. I lost quite a bit of money at Wynn couple years ago and not got any free offers from them until recently. I got a 2 complimentary nights offer this week, so I'll take their offer even though I have to pay the resort fees.
