Got a good deal for Wynncore this summer for $109 a night. I need some advice to which room I should book the Wynn resort king or the Encore king suite. Pros and cons of each would be great. Some advice for places to eat would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Rooms at both places are great. Encore’s rooms are a bit bigger and are set up as a faux-suite (half wall between living area and bedroom). Wynn’s rooms, while smaller, have been recently renovated. You really can’t go wrong with either.

All the restaurants are very good. But creativity and diversity is somewhat lacking. SW is definitely one of my favorite steakhouses. I really like La Cave – great small plates and good wine/beer/cocktail menus. Wazuzu is good pan-Asian that won’t break the bank. Society Café is (IMO) the best coffee shop on the strip (though you should expect the prices to be commensurate with the higher quality grub). Tableau is great for (pricey) breakfast...as is Terrace Point Café (less expensive). I’m looking forward to trying the Sunday Jazz Bruch at The Country Club next month – everyone raves about it but I’ve yet to try it.

I’m a big fan of both places but I choose Wynn over Encore more often than not because I like the casino better and I prefer being a bit closer to the rest of the strip. The walk from Encore to Wynn isn’t bad at all. But it gets kind of old if you are doing it several times a day.

What he said. We make it a point to breakfast at Society Cafe every time we are in town, no matter where we are staying. Try the Short Rib Hash. They also make a mean Bloody Mary.

I prefer the rooms at Encore. I'm not sure if they're larger but they feel like it and they have a nice L shaped couch in the living area. Plus I love how the Lobby Bar is right there as you come out of the elevator....great for coffee in the AM or a nightcap before bed.

The casino at Encore is usually (except when EBC lets out) much quieter than the casino at Wynn but I love having 2 casino's at one resort that have two distinct feels...the Wynn is almost always livelier.

If you've ever had dinner at the Country Club Grill at Wynn, the walk from the casino down to the restaurant is about the same distance as the walk between the 2 casino....honestly can't be more than a few minutes.

At Encore, if you don't need to see the strip from your room, the north facing rooms (looking towards downtown) are much quieter from the nightclub noise.

Between the two hotels there are numerous places to eat (at least a dozen that I can count in my head) ...depending if you like $$, $$$ or $$$$. There is no $ at Wynncore except maybe the Deli at Wynn.

You won't be disappointed in either so it's going to be hard to know until you experience both....you may need to stay there again:wave: Or if you're there 4 or more nights, ask if you can 2 nights at each.

I love Encore's casino, not very big and so much more intimate. Eastside lounge is a great place to chill as well
