I asked in a sep post if an Elite Luxor room could possibly substitute for Vdara since it was going to be much cheaper and you guys said no. I've now received a Wynn offer which includes $50 daily for food/bev i assume. Since i wont have a micro in a Wynn room it might be ok as i'll have $50 a day to spend on food. What can you tell me in comparison to these 2 places??? As you know i'm a Vdara fan as i like having the kitchenette. Thanks in advance.

The Wynn room won't have the kitchenette but it is a far more luxurious resort, room, and experience.

Vdara is solid, you get a lot for the money, but isn't at the same level of luxury.

Wynn with $50/day seems like a no-brainer to me unless you have more reasons to stay at the hotel-only option with the kitchenette beyond just preference.

It depends on what your typical itinerary looks like in Vegas. $50/day really doesn't go that far food-wise at the Wynn/Encore (check where your $50/day credit can be used and what the costs are for each restaurant), but you're close enough to cheaper eats outside of the WynnCore - north of the Encore, at the Fashion Show Mall, and in the Venetian/Palazzo (restaurant hours vary).

$50 a day is not going to get you very far, but better than a poke in the eye.

Vdara - very nice rooms for sure. But - I really want a place where I walk (inside) right to the elevator and my room. Big deal for me.

If you stay at Wynn, will you be doing your play there?

    Resort fee issues?

Both are nice places. But Wynn takes it all. $50 might be good enough for breakfast and a snack if you're solo.

The only caveat I'd add is that Vdara is a really, really short walk to Aria. But it's unclear what will be open at either property depending on when you're going.

I'll prob play there but i wont spend all day and night at the casino. i will be much closer to the high end stores that i didnt get a chance to visit in Feb but they are pretty much similar to the other. I do like playing at Cosmo and realistically speaking i might get another offer to stay there before Sept and if so that might end up being my place. I recently got one but wasn't good in Sept. I'm still on the fence about where to stay and still have time to decide but might book Vdara for the time being to have a security blanket. Think Cosmo would be my preference over Vdara though.

Yes i'm aware of that as I've stayed at Vdara a number of times. I plan on going in Sept so everything should be open then unless there will be another shut down in which case i won't be going at all.

Do you care about location? Wynn is near Encore, Palazzo, Treasure Island, and Fashion Show. Vdara is near Aria, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, and PHo.

Yes im aware of location as i've stayed at SLS now Sahara a few times and also at the other end at MB but quite a few more times at Vdara or Cosmo. On my last trip in Feb i didnt get a chance to get to that area but hoping i will next time. I can get there from Vdara.

You must by a Wynn fan. Give some reasons why.

The only reason I’d choose Vdara is that it checks the location box for me. All my favorite spots are right around there and don’t have to rely on transportation. But.... Wynn is hard to deny. Have you stayed there before? If not, that’s where I’d recommend to switch it up. It’s pretty sweet.

Never stayed at the Wynn and still not sure but leaning towards Vdara or Cosmo (cosmo if i get an offer). Vdara is giving me a pretty good deal for the 2nd wk in Sept. And we'll have to see what happens in Sept. All depends on medical statistics these days. I don't mind walking down to that area and i can always catch a bus back or vice versa. Tell me why you think its a better option than Vdara.

Well, I didn’t say it was a better option. It was a recommendation based on what I might do if I hadn't stayed there yet. If you do get a good deal at Cosmo, that’s a great option to have but make sure it isn’t a City room. But if the kitchenette throws it over the top for you, Vdara might just be the one for you.

Everything about the resort is top drawer, and one of the few I could stay at for a week without even going outside.

The others being Cosmo, Palazzo and Aria.

If you want budget food options, you're a little more limited, but Charlies & Allegro aren't too pricy, imo.

The Wynn has been the most impressive resort of all since the pandemic, with regards to implementing plans etc.

At Vdara you have the location, but other than that Wynn beats it in every deparment.

@Jer, i've generally stayed in a terrace room w.a balcony at Cosmo, never in a city room. Yeah that kitchenette always gets me lol.

@Marky147 i've heard others say that same phrase about other hotels. I would be receiving a $50 f/b credit daily which prob would cover 1 meal per day. I will make my usual Whole Foods run but won't have a micro to heat some of it up. I could always get food options at Fashion Show Mall and would for sure find other options as i always research that before every trip, see whats new/closed, etc. I have changed my travel dates w.no change fees on SW so i will have to check again and see what the rate is for those days at Wynn now. I know what Vdara will run me but i hope to get a cosmo offer too.

You could definitely get a reasonable feed for 1 on $50.

I only managed to get rid of $100 a day by eating very well, lol.

Go Wynning, you won't regret it

If you can get the same kind of deal at Cosmo and like the location better, that's a winner.

Unless the dealbreaker is being able to microwave food in the room, I wouldn't even have Vdara in their league, and I like the place.
