I haven’t bought any yet... I watch it every day but the PE is still too rich for my blood without a growing Macau. Still... it’ll be a buy someday because Macau won’t stay down forever. But as others have stated, it’s not the same company w/o SW. It might be the same LV resort for a while but it’ll never be the same company.

Macau actually wasn't even down. It just didn't jump as much as they thought it would. The revenue is up but it didn't meet expectations. Which caused casino stocks to drop. Not sure why CZR dropped though they have zero exposure to Macau. But yeah for anyone interested in doing Put or Call Options with casino stocks Wynn is the best casino stock to do it with!

You know the weird thing about Wynn? Even though SW is gone; the company, the hotels and the stock are all still called Wynn. Any other CEO that checked out would be long forgotten by now. He's been very (unlike SW) quiet since he stepped down.

The current environment for this stock is a perfect example of why WYNN isn't WYNN w/o Steve Wynn. He was always talking to the media and when the stock got cheap, putting his money where his mouth was and buying more. All you hear from Maddox and company is crickets....

I never did buy and still watching the stock. At this point I almost think LVS is the better buy w/ SW not at the WYNN helm anymore.

LVS is an attractive gaming stock with a hefty 4.4% dividend.

Another "good, but below expectations" month for Macau.

+10.3% increase in revs vs 11.5 consensus

You're so right Chuck, it's always about expectation for WS, not numbers produced. They could have 100% increase but if the "market" is expecting 150%, down she goes. I always wonder who all these experts are that come up with the "expected #'s"? It'd be pretty easy to low ball them and create a stock pop or do the reverse. Not that anybody on WS would ever attempt to manipulate stock prices.....lol

I do like that LVS dividend along with the potential for appreciation. Looks tasty down here in the high 60's. X Div date is coming up in Sept too....just happens to be on my Birthday when I'll just happen to be in Vegas!:woohoo:

Whoa, huge miss on revenues and earnings she's dropping like a rock to $146 currently.

And looking at the PE only (which I realize there are more factors to take into account) for WYNN and LVS, LVS is still by far the one to buy...."if" you even want to get into this space right now.

Or.....maybe MGM after the blood bath today.

LVS relies too heavily on Macau, so I wouldn't hold that into earnings, I really don't "hold" stocks at all, I mostly trade them. The $155 Put Option I had on Wynn paid me nicely lol, almost as fun as going to the casino...but not really lol

I'm not in any gaming stock at the moment, they seem to get killed on any type of news. Just mentioned the hefty divi of LVS as a way to get paid until things hopefully smooth over

I'm thinking about getting into wynn. The market tends to overreact and between Japan, the momentum they can still bring in from Macau, and Boston, there's a lot to look forward to. With fewer conventions in Las Vegas, LVS has the most to lose compared to the Wynn. That's my two cents.

Maybe all of these companies will realize that they do need gamblers after all and that one does not live on bottle service to the fickle millennials alone...:poke:

They're starting to comp rooms for big spenders. I know a couple of people that get comps based on club spend...but we're talking about 15-20k per night kinda spend.

With Satre coming onboard as eventual CEO, where does that leave Matt Maddox?

o_O Holy crap....and that's actual spending, nothing theoretical there. Shit they ought to RFB for spending that kind of dough.

Hmmmm…..you really think Satre will be named CEO? Seems like top shareholder Elaine Wynn is still pulling the strings as she's apparently a big fan of Satre. I've never read anything about her relationship or thoughts about Maddox so that would suggest to me that she's probably not a fan. Good article below. Note - Wayson is still on the board, something that was left out of the major headline stories I saw. The saga continues.....

Satre is in position to be Chairman of the Board. We'll see what happens once he's in position.
