It's not the same thing as coin-in as points for VP and slots accumulate at a different rate, but under the OLD/last year's system (point accumulation was different) and the new, I'm pretty sure I shared that on a moderate to heavy play day I earn on average 15,000 to 20,000 "points". On heavier days I've done 25,000+ and a few times when I'm playing most of the day and on a heater into the night (and early morning), I've hit the 40,000 point mark but that's more than a dozen hours of play over the course of a full day. I also have days where I literally don't play at all as I'm off campus the entire day doing non-gambling activity and there are days where I play on the low side, which for me is 3 or 4 thousand points.

I typically play $12.50 to $25 a spin at VP and at slots and I'm a fast VP player, plus playing for 8 to 10 hours a day among morning, afternoon and evening sessions is pretty common for me. If I'm on a roll I might play a bit at $50 a VP spin (and a few hands at $100) until things start to go south. LOL. Hope that helps.

Also remember that because I'm at the highest tier points accumulate at a faster rate, which rewards me for my play and loyalty. This is under the new system, which also makes it harder to do a straight "coin in" calculation. Plus, some days I'm playing slots all day, some days VP all day and sometimes I might play $25/hand a VP and $2.50 a spin at slots. Sometimes I play 10 play dimes, which is $10 a hand. I mix it up.

True about straight coin-in not being able to be used for determining how tier credits accumulate with Wynn Rewards. (For those out there who have not read my literary works on Wynn Rewards, tier credit accumulation is based entirely on theo.) I had to mentally add a few commas so that I wouldn't mistakenly call something out as being incorrect.

I matched Sunday to platinum. I asked if any of the benies such as multipliers will work during my stay. She said no. Right now it is running about 3 days to process. The card is pretty and a nice addition to my collection. It does show expiration of 12/31/21 as does the website. It shows me as platinum but that I have to hit the 7K in tier credits to maintain the level. Doubt I’ll be back before the end of the year so bummer. I wish they had done this during my Feb stay but it’s still nice of them to offer.

If all that is true, unless you are here 4 days after match or return again this year, this may not do anything for you. Just keep that in mind.

I'm assuming you were told all this by the Wynn Rewards agent who processed your match? I think they're just trying to move people out of their lines as quickly as possible, and they're giving erroneous information, according to this post and another I read. I asked very similar questions of my casino host:

Expiration date: It will show the end of the year (both online and on the card itself), but it resets on 1/1/22 and will then be valid thru 12/31/22. You do not need to hit each tier levels minimum thresholds for 2021 to enable the 2022 extension.

Birthday dinner/spa credit: She told me to do both of these as a room charge, and she will make sure they're applied correctly at the end of the stay when she does back end comps for any other charges (I'll have additional F&B, cabana rental, etc.) and applies the resort credit from my original free stay offer.

I'll have to double check on the multiplier aspect, but it seems odd that it would already show the correct status online, but not calculate the correct multiplier. Good question, tho!

And I don't think I've seen it really discussed anywhere, but I did ask for clarification on the CET 7* match, as when I looked at their match chart it looked to me like just those properties in the black tier box would be applicable, but she confirmed it's any 7* member to black tier, regardless of CET home casino.

According to the Ts & Cs, your status should be good through 12/31/22. I bet it's like CET where they always show the current year expiration on the card even though you're good through the end of next year.

    10. Matched Tiers are subject to the Wynn Rewards Program Terms and Conditions (click here) and will be valid from the date the tier is matched until December 31 of the following year as described in Term 16 of the Wynn Rewards Program Terms and Conditions (i.e., through December 31, 2022).

THIS ^^^^. I noted this in one of my posts but it was long so that note was buried. I have already EARNED black for 2022 but online my account still has an end date of 12/31/21.

On Saturday Wife matched Seven Stars to get to Black At Wynn (she was Red) and since it was her birthday month, was able to request that $300 food credit be placed on her card immediately.

She was told generally you need to use it through restaurant reservations one week later but they made an exception for her. Maybe it was because she had some history of play and a credit line.

We ate at Red 8 next day for lunch and had a ton of takeaway to bring home on the airplane to use up the $300 credit

My wife and I arrive in Vegas on Monday, 7/26/21 and one of the first things we will do is go to the Wynn and get the status match. My birthday is in July and I am hoping that they will be able to give me the birthday credit within 5 days or else it will be August.

I will only share this with all of you since we are friends and this feels like a safe place, but I will admit that I have considered making a trip to Vegas this week or next, just so I can get the match and then have the birthday credit active for when we arrive on 7/26/21.

I am aware that the cost of the flight and hotel would be more than the dinner credit but I am still tempted.........

It is good to have friends!

But it is silly to consider spending more than the amount of credit I would receive. I know this to be true, yet I hate not taking advantage of a freebie. I guess I could see how good of a salesman I am if I try to convince my wife that we need to spend $500 so we can get a credit for $150. Plus, I would have to convince her to add another trip even though we already have trips planned for 6 weeks and 11 weeks from today.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but.........

Jealous! As someone with a Platinum card, having Black sure would be nice :)

Nothing wrong with an extra Vegas trip.

That said, I would think that you could get a birthday credit on a few days notice. If I were you I would book a reservation now and so request a birthday credit to fund an existing reservation at Wynn.

To try and add clarity to what is easily a convoluted and confusing subject when it comes to the match, here are some notes:

Birthday Dinner Credit for Black: $300
Birthday Free Play: Based on rated play

The dinner credit will be available immediately upon becoming black, but I was told this by my host, who told me to do it as a room charge, and she would code it appropriately when she did back end comps at end of stay.

If you don't have a host who's managing it, then yes, you need to make sure it's loaded correctly on the card as mentioned above.

Birthday Free Play: I have almost no rated play/history, the last was 2018. If you're not within a calendar year of rated play, you aren't eligible for FP when matching to Black for this calendar year's birthday, it will only apply to 2022. If you have at least several months of rated play (example, match now in June, birthday is in November), then yes, you'll also get a FP reward based on play.

    I hope this helps!

Do the benefits of the tier card you earn start up on the same day you tier match? I am hearing different things. Or does it take a few days to kick in? Also I am reading some are going on their birthday and some replies are saying it will not immediately be available on the day you tier match. What do you know for sure about this? I know we do not want members going on their birthday like for instance someone mentioned going at the end of their birthday month and then finding out they cannot get the dinner credit right away.

And how about new members who do not even have a card at wynn and want to tier match? I know I never had a card with them before and when I go july 3rd I will sign up for a card, tier match, and get some play in.

I tier matched on 6/13 and the reps are definitely giving out erroneous info...... she said it would expire 12/31/2021, said the benes were not immediate ( i specifically asked) and just handed me a flyer when i tried to ask more questions. the program does say NEW and existing members available for the tier match

ETA: the t &c clearly states the status is good through 12/31/2022. the reps should know this.
( and i guess it is always good to read the T&C)
