    My Trip Report

    Day 4

Slept in today, actually was woken up by my cell phone at 8:45!! Nice!!! Hubby had gone down to the business center and left me a note. I got in touch with him and we went to the café for Breakfast. It was yummy, I had eggs, bacon and hash browns, a cup of coffee and a coke. The only time I drink coke is in Vegas, I think it prevents my hangovers from happening. Anyway, after Breakfast we headed out to the casino and played some Blackjack, there were plenty of $5 tables which was nice. We played for a little while and I walked away ahead for the second time this trip!! It was nice finally getting some wins. After, playing, I think we met up with our friends again for a bit and decided to hit the pool after going to the mall for a bit. We walked over and met up with them and then headed back for some pool time. They managed to get chairs right on the pools edge which was great!!
We hung out there for quite a bit and just relaxed and talked. We had a few drinks, and around 4 decided to head back to the room since we had ressies at Kokomo’s tonight. I got showered and ready and headed down to the Casino. Hubby met me downstairs and I decided this might be my only chance to have a martini at Stack and a bowl of tomato soup!! I love that stuff, so I cashed out of the cheese caper which wasn’t being so kind and headed to STACK. The same young lady that waited on us in June, waited on us tonight. If you are in there and see a beautiful asian girl, her name is Joan and she is fantastic! I had my soup and drink, then we headed back out to meet our friends. We got to Kokomo’s and were seated immediately. Drinks were ordered and we toasted wonderful friendships! We then ordered dinner, I ordered a salad and a filet with the garlic mashed potatoes. My husband had the Prime Rib- let me just say it was the largest piece of Prime Rib I have ever see!! Needless to say he could finish it, and I was very glad I didn’t order it as I barely finished my small filet. The dinner was fantastic and I am not sure if it was the food or the friends, I am going to say it was the friends. I hear a lot of people complaining about the dining room on different boards, but personally, I liked it. Dinner for 4 before tip was $262 and which included salads, entrees one side dish and 2 drinks each. The reason for the one side dish was because our friends meals came with sides.
After dinner we decided to go over to Caesar’s and check out the Shadow Bar. We each had a drink, but the show got old quickly and we didn’t stay more than a half hour or so. When we got out I played some rapid roulette and won a quick $20 and cashed out. We then headed back to Mirage. I played some slots with Hubby and he went upstairs. I stayed down to see if I could hit anything. I tried the cheese caper machine, I tried phone tag, which kept me playing for awhile, then I wondered aimlessly around the casino. I finally settled on a Bonus Frenzy penny machine which was fun, I hit one bonus that gave me 20 free spins. It was fun. I noticed at that time it was 2am and we were moving the next day so I went upstairs and went to bed.

    Day 5

Woke up at 9am and started packing for the move. Headed down about 10am after taking a shower and checked out. We stopped at the coffee place right near the west valet and grabbed a Latte. It was not as good as the one at Wynn, but it was good. We then made our way to the parking garage and headed to Bellagio. We self parked and left the bags in the car. The front desk was pretty quiet and we only had one person in front of us. I didn’t think we would be able to check in but we actually had no problems. We got to the room, looked out the window and enjoyed the view for a minute. We then unpacked and hubby had a conference call to make, so I went downstairs to hang out with Diane, who recognized me and thanked me for a letter I had written about her. We chatted while I played. I had a bella peach drink which was very yummy. Now, I sit at the Fontana to play because I like the bartenders there, both Diane and the evening bartender Shawn are great. Shawn kind of looks like the scary guy in Silence of the Lambs, but he is a sweetheart. That being said, I play $1 at a time there, simply because $5 a pull is too rich for my blood and I play too quickly most of the time. Anyway, after feeding the machine a few twenties, I was finally getting some play. Diane had convinced me to play Double Double Bonus Poker, which I wasn’t too sure of. Anyhow, after playing for about an hour I hit 4oak with 3’s and a kicker!!! WOOHOO, my $1 had turned into 160, now I know you are all thinking it could have been 800, however I would have been out of money at this point because I was down to my last $4 and had no money left in my purse!!! I was very excited. I played it down to $130 (it was supposed to be $150, but I kept missing my mark LOL). After cashing out my ticket I put another $20 in and played awhile before hitting 4oak with 7s. At this point hubby showed up. I had played for about 2 hours and we decided to go out to Silverton to play and have lunch since we hadn’t eaten yet. I found out later a lady I met on a previous trip whom I have kept in contact with, had sent me an email saying she would meet me at 1:30 at the Fontana, I must have missed her by minutes. We did catch up later though.
We ate at the Sundance café. For the price this can’t be beat. Lunch cost about $25 with tip. We both had soup and sandwiches. After lunch I tried a few slots, then I went to play some Blackjack. I sat down at a $5 table and did okay, I think I ended up about $50, maybe a little more. I then decided to give star wars another shot and again cashed out a few dollars ahead.
By this time it was 3:30 so we decided to head back to Bellagio. We went to the pool and had a drink, then up to the room for a shower. On our way out of the hotel I went down to the Fontana and played a little bit. Didn’t win, and didn’t lose. While I was sitting there enjoying my lemondrop, the lady I had met on previous trips showed up. Diane had told her I would be back so she came back to see if I was there. We chatted for a little bit and she told me she had looked for me at Wynn on Tuesday night (we had checked out on Tuesday) and in the process of looking for me, lost 2800!!! She is nuts but she is the sweetest woman. The bartenders know her well, in fact they had champagne out for her, without her asking. After chatting it was time to go as we were meeting friends in their suite at MC and having champagne before dinner.
We got to MC and our friend met us in the lobby and brought us up to their room!!! Wow it was great, it was a spa suite and just very comfortable. The champagne was great and we sat and chatted for an hour before heading down to dinner at the Market City Café. The food was good, I loved the pasta fagiole and my pasta we pretty good, though the sauce is a little acidic. I am too picky I think, because I make sauce at home and I know that it will never be as good as mine!! LOL
Again, it was an enjoyable dinner. After dinner we parted company and planned to meet up on Friday for dinner. Hubby and I headed to South Coast. We played for a while and I had a few Pyramid Hefewiezen, which is great!!! We left up, but only slightly, I think I lost and Hubby won…….After this we headed back to Bellagio.
Hubby was tired and wasn’t feeling well, so he went up to the room. He told me if he felt better he would be back down to join me. Unfortunately that never happened. I found a machine at the Fontana and started to play. Shawn was there and got me a lemon drop to start me out. It was yummy as usually. I played my machine for about 3 hours and in the end, lost about $130. Of course in that time period, I had 7 drinks, so at almost an $80 value, I figured I came out okay!! I talked to a really neat gentleman from Ireland who was at the Bellagio doing plaster work on the spa. He was from CA and claimed to have worked on some stars homes. My guess is, he wasn’t lying, since he had no real reason, not to mention that the Bellagio isn’t just going to hire anyone to do plaster work in the spas. Hubby called my phone about 2am to check on me and I ended up back in the room about 3am. All in all it was a great day. Yes, I lost, but that was okay. In one day playing $1 at a time I got almost 900 points on my slot card, which surprised the heck out of me!! Hopefully, that will help me get future marketing offers from the B. But probably not. I should add, I usually get about 1500 points in 5 days!
This is getting really long, so I will finish later.

I'm enjoying your TR...:) We've moved around the last 2 trips and decided this next one we're going to set up camp at one hotel again for the entire trip. It's nice to try different places but the move day almost seemed to be a lost day or at least a lost 1/2 a day. I have become a DDB addict now after playing JOB and BP for years. Once you hit 4 A's w/ a 2,3,4 kicker for 2000 credits you'll be hooked... So.....aren't those beds at the Wynn comfy? lol I'm really hoping the MB beds are decent enough so my back survives the trip:confused2:

What did you think of the new Mirage colors... isn't it like purple, grey and blue or somethnig like that? Really bumms me that they took out AVA and the Bacarrat lounge.... great "working girl" watching at the old B-Bar:wink2:

Once you play DDB, it is hard to play any other VP game.

I was thinking that might be the case. I almost went back to JOB but didn't because I might hit a 4oak with a kicker LOL

Thanks! They seemed to run together. Just making sure you weren't really drunk out in Vegas and forgot Part 2 of your trip.

Well, I had my moments, that is for sure. Particularly the end of day 5, when I was playing VP. I definately took too much money to the Fontana with me LOL Instead of drunk dialing, I was drunk playing..........not good..........
