It was inevitable. When you look at what states are facing, and then also weigh the liability against the minimal business you can attract.

I think Vegas has been a bit slow on this (measured in days, this is moving fast) simply because it's the whole local economy and once you hang closed signs everything stops. Tough to do when you don't see sickness everywhere yet.

Yeah, I figured that was coming. And the CDC just announced its recommendations that there be no mass gatherings of 50 or more people for the next 8 weeks.

I have to say I appreciate Wynn making clear it will continue to pay all of its full time employees during the 2 week closure and I have heard nothing about layoffs.

I think from what I saw earlier they are just closing the poker room and nightclub etc but not the actual hotel from my understanding. But I stand to be corrected?

Agree 100% @LVRaiders. And my host feels good about other internal communications that he said are reassuring to employees.

As goes Wynn so will the rest of the casinos very quickly.

Once one casino closes it becomes an issue of liability for the rest of them.

Nope, you’re right just seen the announcement. Earlier on it was just the sports book etc but now it’s the whole thing. Jeez that’s a big hit they’re taking. Let’s hope it’s just for the two weeks and doesn’t extend past that and let’s hope they don’t block cancel bookings. Has anyone got a booking affected by this and if so have you been contacted about changing your dates for free etc?

Wait for them to contact you. They will probably offer you something extra to reschedule.
