    My Trip Report

    PRELUDE

I did a 48 Hour Solo Trip (#28) in November and stayed at The Mirage for the first time. Other than it being my first time and visiting the Spa there was nothing overly remarkable to write about and so I just thought I’d make a small mention of it here.

    With that said…

    FLIGHT - Dec 18th

Officially this was Trip #29 (for me). We flew Direct from Orlando to Las Vegas on SWA. Our Boarding call was at 5:50AM and we were lucky enough to have what I like to call; “Hillbilly First Class”! In other words we had an empty middle seat between us which is always nice. She watched the new Jason Bourne movie on her iPad and I watched Tarzan 2016 which wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

    WYNN - Dec 18th

We arrived around 8:00AM and had a room waiting for us on the 39th floor so we dropped off our luggage and then went downstairs to the Terrace Pointe Cafe for Breakfast only to find that it was closed for the week. Not sure why really but they have a lot of Cleaning and Construction Projects going on. The Buffet was packed as you could imagine so we just went to ZoozaCrackers. In a way it was good that the Cafe was closed because it forced us to check out both Jardin at Encore and Tableau at Wynn and both were very nice. We hung around Wynn playing Slots where she pulled around $900.00 out of a Siberian Storm and a WOF but I didn’t do as well. After a long day I think we turned in early like around 6:00PM.

    ADVENTURES - Dec 19th

We woke up early and picked up our Reserved Rental Car at Wynn and then drove to Mt. Charleston / Lee Canyon to go Snow Tubing. We did it last year and had a great time so we decided to go again this year. It was 21 Degrees!

Afterwards we drove to Red Rock Casino and then to the Golden Nugget where we played for awhile. I can’t believe how big the Swimming Pool Sharks are getting! After the Golden Nugget we drove back to Wynn to drop off the Car and Freshen up. Around 5:00PM we headed over to LINQ to go bowling at Brooklyn Bowl where we had a Lane Reserved. We grabbed some dinner and Bowled a couple of Games. BTW, I’m a Great Bowler! Ahem… Scoring a whopping 97 and a 62 in the 2nd game haha! She was in the 100’s both times. Yeah I suck!

After Bowling we played at LINQ for a little while then walked through both Harrahs and Venetian and played at Palazzo before going back to Wynn where she played Jurassic Park, WOF and a few other games. Not sure how much she won but I know it was over $500 I think. I did pretty good on one of the new 3-D WOF machines winning over $600.00. We packed a lot into the day and retired around 8:00PM I think.

    Dec 20th

I got up early and walked over to Encore to use the Spa. I had the whole place to myself which I love! Around 8:30AM we went to Jardin for breakfast. Afterwards we went to Bellagio to try our luck. She played Elvira while I sat next to her playing Buffalo with the Curved Glass. My eyes were actually glued to her game watching Elvira’s Breast Bounce all over the place and while listening to the crazy Sexual Innuendo stuff Elvira was saying I mindlessly kept hitting the buttons on my machine and didn’t even notice that I had won something like $300 haha!

At one point Elvira yelled out… “BUFFALO-Ooo! Oh Sorry Wrong Game” which was kind of funny! I think she won several hundred dollars off Elvira and then she played Cash Wheel and was up to $800.00 I believe before we headed back to Wynn where she played Gremlins while I rested up for a bit.

Later we took a Taxi over to Rio to see Rock of Ages because it’s shutting down on Jan 1st. We had wanted to see it when it was at The Venetian but never got around to it. The show started off a bit slow but it got better as it went along and we actually enjoyed it. We played a little bit at Rio and walked over to the Kiss Rock Shop and Mini Golf to look around before heading back to Wynn where we split a Turkey Sandwich at ZoozaCrackers and Gambled a little more before calling it a night.

    BUFFALO - Dec 21st

We had breakfast at Tableau and then went to Paris since it had been awhile. After a short survey of the property we decided to play Buffalo again but this one did not have the curved glass like the one at Bellagio. It was something like 12 feet tall and Thick with a Bench for 2.

I slipped in a $100.00 and we took turns playing the Max bet of $3.75. At one point I was about to hit the lowest amount of .75 cents to round out our money but she said; “Just Hit Max Bet” and BAM we hit the Minor Jackpot for $670.00!!! We played that down to around $600.00 or so and I cashed out because I can be a tad bit more conservative than her haha… But she told me to “Put The Ticket Back In” so I did and then we hit a Bonus Round of Free Games and we kept getting them. We ended up with at least 30 Free Games and a Nice Hand Pay! Funny thing but I’ve mentioned here before that I’ve never won on Buffalo and here we ended up walking away with around $2,400.00 total. SWEET!

After Paris we walked over to Bally’s and played for a bit then we went to Bellagio, Aria, NYNY, Mandalay Bay and finally ended up at Luxor where we played for awhile before having an early Dinner at T&T’s - Taco’s and Tequila before heading back to Wynn to get packed and ready for a full day of Travel back home on the 22nd.

    RETURN FLIGHT - Dec 22nd

On the Return Flight we did not have a choice for an early morning Direct Flight so we had to go to Pittsburgh first then to Orlando. We did not have to change planes so once everyone deplaned we were the only 2 left on the flight for about 20 minutes. It was kinda cool to have the place all to ourselves.

She read iBooks on the way home and I had downloaded an episode of Stranger Things off Netflix to test out. It’s nice they are now offering that feature! We arrived in Orlando around 6:00PM (Long Day!)

I thoroughly enjoyed the Linq promenade upon the cessation of my 10 year hiatus of the strip this past Dec,, ameriCAN bar was good and the faux snow was a nice touch...the crowds and price gouging piss me off but Im already planning a excursion to sky fall lounge and level 107 so apparently not to much!
