    My Trip Report

As much as I would love to give a live trip report, it’s just hard to be committed to daily reports when trying to relax and not be worried about missing anything. However, everyone here is so wonderful and helpful that I couldn’t pass the opportunity up to share my recent experience. So I wanted to give some bullet points on my 6th trip to the Wynn and 13th trip to Vegas overall!

    -Wynn
Immaculate, perfect, and top notch as always! I will say it again and hopefully continue to say it The Wynn is hands down one of the nicest resorts I have ever stayed at. Everything was amazing!

    -Safety/Covid
The Wynn was clean, safe, and comfortable. The rooms was clean as a whistle, the hallways, elevators and casino floor were following all protocol and I wouldn’t want it any other way during these times.

    -Pool
One of my biggest concerns going on this trip was everything I had read/heard about having to wear mask while lounging in the chairs. I am 100% fine with mask in the pool and walking around the pool, but wasn’t keen on the idea of sun bathing while masked up! I’m happy to report that there was no enforcement of mask while laying in the chairs! I don’t know what changed because I read a few reports that said they were enforcing this rule as of a week ago, but there wasn’t one person who was wearing a mask while lounging and no one ever told us we had to have it on. However, please be aware, the pool hits capacity around 11am. Thankfully I love going to the pool early so I never had an issue getting a chair, but I was told at 11am on Saturday that they were almost at capacity and I did notice people waiting.

    Dining
    - I can not reiterate enough that you MUST make reservations for any Wynn restaurant! Even if you have reservations you will have to wait if you want outdoor seating. Wazuzu doesn’t take reservations and we waited 2 hours on the waitlist. Around 9pm they were turning people away for the night. However, delicious and impeccable as always!

    Gaming
    - the casino floor at the Wynn was busy, but Encore not as much. I don’t love the slot selection at Wynn, but had some nice wins and held my own. Also, I love video poker and was nervous when I arrived because my normal bank of machines were gone! However, they just did some rearranging(I actually prefer the new set up.) I did think though that they have added more tables to the casino floor, especially to the left side of the walkaway through the middle of the casino floor. I could be wrong, but it felt much more table heavy then in the past?

    Cocktail Service
-The Wynn cocktail waitresses were spot on per usual. I don't have enough good things to say about their persistence and speed. However, Monday night at the Encore it was extremely slow and only one waitress(from what I could see) working the whole floor. I know it's not busy and probably don't need a lot of waitresses on that end. However, it was awful, to the point that we left and went back to the Wynn. I would like to point out Saturday/Sunday they were much better.

    Aria
    - Walked to eat at Javiers. It was extremely busy, but again I had reservations so didn’t have any issues.

    Strip
    - it was busy! Especially Flamingo! Unfortunately, it was also in my opinion dirty and discouraging. I have heard a lot of people say the current state of certain resorts are going down hill and I’m here to say it seemed that way. I have always loved to roam the strip and plays Mlife and Caesars properties, but this time I couldn’t wait to get back to the Wynn!

    Fashion Show Mall
    - Super busy, but the majority of the stores had lines to get in to control capacity.

    Resort Worls
    - Like many others I can’t wait for it to open. However, I will be shocked if it’s Summer like they say, I feel there is a lot of work to be done, but crazier things have happened!

    Uber/Lyft
    - Definitely longer waits. Both drivers said there are half as many drivers since last year and it definitely showed. Give yourself time to schedule a ride, you will have a longer than normal wait!

I’m sure I’m forgetting something, but will post if I remember more! Please feel free to ask any questions!

It was another successful and beautiful trip and can’t wait to go back in July!

Thank you! What were the table minimum? Were there still plastic dividers at the BJ tables?

I'm sorry I didn't look closely at the table minimums, but yes, there is still plastic dividers up. There was some sort of tournament going on at the corner by Allegro because all the slots were gone and poker tables were set up with TV's. However, on Monday they were taking them all down and putting slot machines back.

Looks like I’ll be avoiding the Wynn pool. No masks, no thanks for me!

Just to be clear, they required mask while walking around the pool. They just didn't require them while swimming inside the pool. They actually were very adamant in telling people to pull up mask if they were walking around and pulled it down. As far as lounging, there isn't any reason there should be an enforcement to make people were a mask if they are sunbathing. The chairs are socially spread out, no one is next to each other, and it's outside. Besides, being fully vaccinated(as hopefully most will be) the safety is the best it's been in over a year.

Thanks for the update! Good to hear about the pool. With the newer more occupancy rules going into effect soon, I'll bet they'll do the same thing that they're doing at the Beau Rivage ~ the plexiglass is still up at the tables but they're allowing more than 3 players to play. I've noticed over the last year the strip is not a "pleasant atmosphere" anymore. I've stopped walking the strip & just staying on property at WynnCore.

Great write up @stendu! Thanks so much for taking the time. It was wonderful to read as I'm husting to finish work and personal stuff before heading to our happy place in a bit more more than a week!

Yep, walking the strip is a kind of a bummer these days. Unfortunate. But, like you said, there's really no reason to leave the Wynn.
