I thought about that... also think it will help me adjust to the time zone (my priority on my first day so I can enjoy the rest of the trip). Also, I've cashed at Wynn summer series before, so there's an itch to go back and do it again I can't shake :) I agree though... if I am playing deep/late I better cash in it!!!

Looking forward to your updates and trip reports. I'm heading out in July for the ME and can't wait.

    Good luck and run deep.

Thank you. Depends on how I feel once there. If I'm ok on the Saturday then dive straight in otherwise wait till the Sunday. I'm staying at the rio anyway so not a big deal.

Maybe we should arrange a quick meet up for the vmb'rs on the Sunday before the start.

Just got the approval from both of my bosses (the one at work and the one I am married to) to play in the MAIN EVENT also! So I am going in a few days for Millionaire Maker, coming home for a few weeks in between, then back out for the main in July. Epic summer!

    Great news!!

Best of luck next weekend, and if I'm not dead after International Fight Week, I'll look forward to following your progress in the main.

Congratulations on getting the necessary travel authorizations. Which Day 1 did you plan on playing? I'd like to play the ME myself, but I'm going to have to build the necessary roll, either grinding Sats or cashing big in another tourney.

    Good luck.

In a big MTT like that, I will always take the last Day 1... I've had the most luck taking that approach. Nothing scientific about it, and sample size too small to really have any evidence to support that approach... so call it superstition. Day 1C on Monday 7/10 for me.

Reading this thread makes me really want to go to some of the WSOP Events. It has been on my bucket list for awhile but I just haven't gone. I have played in a few of the WSOPc events but that's about it. I don't get time to play in tournies very often as I like due to the ones on weekdays last till too late for me.

Not sure my bankroll supports many of the larger WSOP events but I have heard good things about the 2 PM Daily Deepstack at the Rio. I had thought about going and just grinding those out along with cash. I haven't played poker like that in several years so not sure I can handle it now! LOL

The 2pm's are good from what I've seen... $235 and you get enough chips and solid structure to play comfortably for several hours. I may hit one or two of these up while I am out next week.

The Youtube Vlogger Jeff Boski says there's evidence that this is correct. On a multi day start tournament, the last day one will be the softest field.

More non-pros are likely just to fly in for the Main Event. Why stay an extra day or two if you don't have to?
