MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD just opened up to all of the public last Mon. Therefore, I went Mon and Wed (during the early to late afternoons). Def a decent amount of people there but wasn't totally packed like a Vegas casino.

On either day I did not see a table game under $25. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right place but typically in the afternoon it was $15 pre-covid for BJ, Paigow, etc, but craps was $15 until noon and then $25 or $50 after noon. Meanwhile, as for craps, 6 player action only (per table). Mon had 1 $25 table, and the few others at $50. However, by Wed there was 3 tables at $50, and a $100 table. The crazy part was that all 4 tables were full!

Bottom line: Don't expect lower limits anytime soon on their craps tables as long as the 6-player rule is in enforced. Bring that bankroll, and then some..

Thanks for the report. Seems like pre-virus you would be able to find games in the carny pits (on either side of the aisle if you come in from the garage elevators) at the $10 level, including 6/5 blackjack. But 3/2 blackjack is always at least $25, and craps has always been ridiculous, as I've rarely seen it under $25 and most of the open tables were $50 when I was there in late Feb.

Can’t stand that place, it’s the closest casino to me and I haven’t been in years. Terrible rules, high mins and everyone looks miserable.

When you see $50 6:5 BJ, that alone is sufficient reason to leave early. The proximity to DC is equally a reason as to why it’s a money pit, there’s significant wealth in this area and people with zero understanding of playable table game rules, which at least partially explains how it gets a decent crowd as you have a bunch of K Street lobbyists with money to, quote literally, incinerate lol.

$50 6/5 is chump change. I saw a guy at a $100 min 6/5 table on a Saturday morning there right after the place opened in late 2016.

Not seeing these people, and I’m generalizing but I know the type, on a day-to-day basis downtown/the Hill is one of the few reasons I’m enjoying working from home.

The wealthy K Street Lobbyists make the poker room one of the best in the country though. Anyone that is semi-good at poker can make a lot of money.

Craps game there was horrible. They were running it so fast that if you pressed or switched up your bet you couldnt make it in time. Seemed like every roll people were angry and they didnt know if their bet was booked. It always worked against them to. For example the guy next to me wanted to be on the point so he put it behind the line, he didnt have a line bet. The dealer told him it had to be on a number so he said ok move it to the 10, which was the point. The dealer than said you have to say bet to book it. So the guy said bet, I want the 10. 10 came up. No payout since the chips hadnt been moved yet. Another guy put chips down on the field after the dice were out. The deal shouts no action. Seven comes up so the guy goes to take his chips and the boxman takes them and says he booked it, even though no one heard him. This type of activity happened at least 20 times while I was playing. Also the dice hit hands over the table and seemed like it always turned into a loser and an argument. Just a bad experience, almost like they had a directive to get their roll per hour to a certain high number.

It is close to where two of our kids live, but I find the $25 craps tables they have had every time I went (pre-C19) to be over my "fun" level. I've had my best wins at $25 but also my quickest "felting" at them.

On MGM NH I am kind of thanks, but no thanks...

    Thanks for the update!

Out of sheer boredom, I may drive over after work to get a laugh. I went to Horseshoe last week, so perhaps I can provide an additional vantage point of any restaurant/bar openings, see if any table game mins changed, etc. if anyone is interested.

Wife's out of town for the week so if this gives any indication how bored I am. lol

Sorry for the late response- last weekend, I didn’t see a single table of BJ or craps table under $25- craps went up to $50 at around 5pm. I didn’t see hold em, but the wait list was hours long for these tables too. Very discouraging to say the least.

Can report that, on a Sunday afternoon, BJ mins were $50/75 for 6:5 CSM, spotted a couple of $100 tables too. NH now has Stadium BJ/roulette/baccarat, which was . . . interesting.
