I like reading about how differently other people do Vegas
This is the reason why I come to VMB.
    Everyone does Vegas differently.
Everyone is different, unique and is at a different stage in their life.
We are from all walks of life, different lifestyles, ages and incomes.
Even with all the differences, we all LOVE Vegas!

Sorry you had a bad time, luckily......there's always a NEXT trip!

For me - even the worst day in Vegas is better than my best day at work!

I was starting to get sad that no one got my Indecent Proposal reference.

Ya know, the more I think about it, we (the VMBers, who have a vast repository of experience and knowledge) are really not the most qualified to help out in relationship issues such as this.

I have to (very respectfully) disagree here. This is not a board for opiod abusers or manic-depressives, it's mainly stable people who like to enjoy Vegas responsibly. The poster has previously provided "life updates" asking for advice about this relationship status which contained even more red flags than this recent sad trip report. I feel a little bad for the guy, but not that much. There's an easy solution, which is to cut off all contact with this person. Get a new job and don't speak/text at all. Any advice that includes "staying friends" with this person is dreadful advice. Like breanna said in the post above, the situation is just sad, there's no humor in it at all. If eating edibles in Vegas turns into a near fistfight and all this drama, then it's the people involved that are the problem.

Yes. He needs some professional help. These are not just relationship issues: Emotional Immaturity, Obsession, Depression, Constant Drinking, Suicidal thoughts last time they broke up. These are likely mental health issues

My humble suggestion IWannaBeInVegas is for you to discuss the whole situation with your doctor and take it from there. Be honest with him about what you went through last time. If there's a real medical problem like clinical depression there's a treatment. If not, you're no worse off than you are right now.

That's a good point alanleroy - but I still think we can provide sound advice, especially since it was solicited by IWannaBe. But right you are, this mix of drugs, drinking, and obvious depression self-loathing is the root issue. Co-dependency going on.

OP, sorry about your trip. I'm in the midst of planning a trip to Vegas with the lady. This will be my first trip with an SO to Vegas and I'm a nervous about it not being the typical Vegas trip. Worst case I'll tell her I need to go again without her. :p

I will respond more to these when I get home. I do not have the time while on break at work to go through it all.

Anyways I forgot to add a detail about Excalibur that really made me mad. M and I were playing High Card Flush and i was done, but had chips on the table. I grabbed some and went to a blackjack table, lost $60 and went over to grab more chips. When walked over they said I could not play any further because I can only play one table at a time. I told
Them I was only playing one table but they refused me to play so we colored up and left.

I will add M and I have cut ties in the past week. I blocked her from contacting me on my phone and social media. Looking at possibly an October trip

That's great, but will it last? Maybe give yourself the solo October trip IF you avoid contact with her up until that point? Maybe give yourself a "no-contact" reward!? And look at getting another job, otherwise I think you previously said you see her every day at work.

Does any casino technically allow you to do this? I know I wouldn't if I ran a casino.

Enjoyed the report just one thing to consider has your ex girlfriend allowed you to post her photo up on a site considering the detail you have gone into about her .

Hey, I consider myself to be about as liberal and openminded as they come, and if Green Door is your thing, go4it, with my blessing! It's just not for me.

It was meant to be tongue in cheek...sort of a roast-style zinger. Apologies if it didn't come across that way.
