When I look at the downtown map I noticed an area World Market Center does anyone know what this area is

Have always wondered what it was when going by, but never remembered to investigate, lol.

I've noticed that a few times in Andrew Neeme's vlogs, and also seen it when getting a cab to the UFC.

I asked a worker downtown and they said its a place where they have conventions for home furnishings, flooring, that sort of stuff.

My wife and I went in there a few years ago just to see what could be in such a large place. I'd read on the internet that it had gone through a bankruptcy after being built and not generating the interest expected by the developers. No doubt whoever owns it now picked it up for a small fraction of the original cost. It's got designer collections of furnishings and interiors, but at least when we were there it didn't appear that there's much foot traffic. I think they rely primarily on the conventions. Being an employee for any of the showrooms looked like it would make for a really long day most of the time.

It is a huge furniture and furnishings display/sale mostly for vendors and merchandisers. The public, however, is welcome.
