I feel like this is either an incredibly stupid question because "of course they're showing it, it's the biggest sporting event in the world!", or because "this is America and we don't watch soccer here so why would they show it at a Vegas sportsbook?".

My buddy who I'm going down to Vegas with on June 20th is a huge soccer fan, and he wanted to try and catch some games while we're in town.

Can anyone comment on whether or not the World Cup games will be showing at any sportsbooks in Vegas - and if so, which will be the best ones to watch it at?

I was there four years ago during the World Cup and it was on in every Strip sportsbook I stepped inside. Also, I was surprised that there were a large number of foreign tourists there to watch and enjoy the games. I watched a Colombian man wager the largest amounts I have ever seen at roulette (stacks of blacks and purples on every number for every spin)

The problem will be that many of the games will be played at 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM PDT... well before the books open. Looks like a few games will start later in the morning.

It is possible that some books will open to be able to broadcast the games, but the only 24 hour book that I know off the top of my head is South Point.

Also there in '14, saw England vs Italy in Caesars sportsbook... they had it on the biggest screen, alongside many other events. Supporting England is like banging your head against a brick wall... only nice when it stops.

Watching big international soccer tournaments and even World Cup qualifying is so much fun in Vegas. All soccer fans are so into it and fun to be around.
Every time I have been there every sports book has had the games on the big screens!
I assume that they would be open early for the 5am games. Good business for them. Last World Cup there were specific parties for it w drink/food packages. Have not seen anything yet.
    Going 6/24-27 can’t wait!!

It being in Russia, most of the games are in the early AM here in the states.

The "late" matches are at 11am Vegas time (1 nooner). I plan to go to Vegas for a few days of the elimination rounds. I was originally planning to go for all of Round of 16, Quarters and Semis, but with the times of the matches it didn't seem worth the extended trip to only see 1 match a day.

    Schedule of matches:

Just adding onto this... my research has revealed that the Venetian's sportsbook is open 24 hours. So that's an on-strip option. Including that in this thread for anybody else who might come across it and also be curious.

I know they have been taking wagers for awhile so I'm sure it will be shown. I was there in February (4 moths before the 1st game) and dropped some green on a few bets for the overall winner.
