    Great character actor.
He was everywhere for a time.
    .
I have a VEGAS MEMORY that reminds me of this actor.
    Here goes
I arrive at McCarran after a week in our favorite town
I was in a rush....I threw all my clothes into an open beach bag
and ran up to check in ( pre 911 )
    I walked up to the desk....hair a mess...exhausted....and with a Beach Bag
    as my suitcase !
Well, this elderly Check in Clerk was an exact copy of Wilford Brimley !
I mean, I was doing a double take - he looked so much like him !
The guy takes one look at me and starts chuckling out loud.
I was a bit taken aback by his response.......to my appearance ?
I wasn't too sure if I was going to say something back to him ?
Before I could......he smiles / laughs and says...." Sit over there, I'll take care of you."
He shakes his head and walks away.
    I sit.....I wait......and wait......no sign of Wilford Brimley anywhere ?......
The plane is boarding and I'm just sitting........
Finally - an employee hands me my ticket.......and I board......
I look at my seat number........?........
Wilford Brimley bumped me to FIRST CLASS !!!!!
Holy Crap !.......he came thru for me !
Just before they close the plane doors......Wilford walks in down the aisle -
He sees me and laughs....." I told you I'd take care of ya."
I said " You sure did - thank you, man !"
He chuckled and walked out of the plane.
    .
    Wilford Brimley ....RIP

No nonsense, down to earth, matter of fact type of person.

On film and I'm sure off film also.

    RIP.

He narrates one of my favorite movies - Last of the Dogmen with Tom Berenger and Barbara Hershey. Beautiful cinematography and his voice - along with Berenger and Hershey -- and of course the dog five stars for me. I googled it and it said the UK version is not narrated -- sad.
