Time to care about something really important. You choose from our varied backgrounds.
    But Joe said it best.

Intended to move to Florida, however as of Friday, Florida corrections officials had not received a parole transfer request for Simpson.

On Friday, Florida district attorney Pam Bondi issued an objection to Nevada authorities about the prospect of Simpson serving his parole in the Sunshine State.

Until it's a done deal deal it's speculation.

But from the Florida perspective, its a formality. The State AG issuing an objection??? That's pure politics (and probably a smart move by her). As long as the parole officer from the incarcerating state approves the transfer to a new jurisdiction, then the new jurisdiction inevitably accepts the transfer as a courtesy (just like Nevada does for Florida parolees). This happens all the time. Unless Simpson does something in the coming days that would result in the revocation of his parole, he will end up in Florida (where he has a financial incentive to live)

TMZ has a video of him being found by the paps already. He's in the back of a real nice Chevy Suburban with tinted windows. He says he's been driving for 5 hours. As mentioned, that puts him in Vegas. Also, who is paying for the driver? Who will be putting up the $$$$ for where he's staying? He has a friend in Vegas still who loaned his house to OJ during his trial. Probably back there but then again that's too obvious.

I read somewhere that he has an IRA with a couple million dollars in it and an NFL pension of something like $19K/mo. Neither could be touched by the Goldman's awarded judgement.

That sounds like enough for a retiree to get by on.

Right and in Florida they can't touch it.

A very good person and friend of mine bought 2 houses in Florida and a huge garage to store their cars in when they got sued by Ford in Michigan. It ended up being a "David vs Goliath" lawsuit because they were the "little" people. They went to Florida because they knew they couldn't be touched if they lost. Well, they won but they still retained the Florida homestead and also kept the Michigan one with the settlement from Ford.

If nobody has been touching the $19k a month and the IRA has been collecting interest then I guess he's sitting pretty damn good now for sitting in prison for 9 years.

Well that would be 108 months x 19,000 = 2,052,000 $. And you know someone was collecting it and some amount of interest was accrued so yeah, he is rolling the bones in a brothel. Drinking tequila (oj & tequila --what a combo). Come baby come for papa!!

That's just in the pension plan. The guy has some money for sure but due to Florida laws its all protected. Unreal how you can be protected from paying a debt simply by moving to a different state to avoid payment.

What would you do if you went to your local course for 18 on a beautiful Autumn day and the starter paired you with O.J. and told you it’s a 2 hour wait if you don’t get into this threesome?

    Shit, I’d play him!
