    That's always a fun view, then seeing the random neighborhoods get thicker and thicker and plane going slower and slower. I fly from the east coast, so its an eternity before I get to land.

    Sure looks like Southwest to me. :) :)

    After so many trips I can usually tell which runway we're gonna land on by the position of Lake Mead and the other scenery out the window long before we touch down.

    Only the third time I've been to Vegas via plane, and for the second of those just a pass-through. I was coming back from Alabama, routing BHM-LAS-BUR. Things cleared up from right before we reached the Sangre de Cristos and Rio Grande Valley, so had a brilliant right-side view all the way in. The canyon is almost too grand from the air, I'm always reminded.

    What is with that C terminal? What a hole.

    Well, we can't draw that conclusion from the picture alone.
    However, if we take into account the fact that he has survived the ride,
    then we can probably assume he was in a pressurized and air-conditioned environment with adequate oxygen supply.
