I'm planning my Vegas trip and now I have to schedule the playoffs into my calendar.

Usually my team is almost always out of the playoffs! Miracle but there is a strong chance that they play in the Western Conference finals while I'm in Vegas.

Any recommendations of where to watch the Western conference finals? I'm always be on the strip and I'll be staying at MGM Grand and Fontainebleau.

Tagging some people who watch hockey in vegas @eliza, @tringlomane, @julia, @Maxbet @Jer,

Don’t go counting those chickens quite yet. Silovs looked solid yesterday, but Oilers are still tough.

For conference finals, I would think most sports books and casino bars will have game on - so pretty much whatever one catches your fancy. If you are willing to travel - circa sportsbook or stadium swim are my ultimate recommendations. On strip - I'm partial to West Bar at Park MGM. Or Charlie’s Bar at Wynn if you are north strip.

For something totally different, the bar at NOBU in Paris has a couple of TVs - I’ve watched college basketball there and enjoyed it. A different atmosphere than a rowdy sports bar, but lots of fun nonetheless - and great cocktails/food.

I know... But I'm a planner. You should see my Vegas OneNote full of tables/scheduling and reference information. I need to plan for this even if I have to delete it later. I've even already started packing...

Be weary of sportsbooks if there’s a NBA playoff game on at the same time. They’ll usually show the NBA game with sound, NHL with no sound on a smaller screen.

Are there certain sports books/bars that may prioritize nhl? I would like sound and big screens.

BeerHaus at NYNY/the Park isn’t a bad option either. Close to MGM and there’s a chance you could get sound. Since that’s such a big Golden Knights bar, hockey might get some love.

Either way the game will be on and the doors will be open so you’ll get fresh air too.

Sorry, not sure if that means you won't/don't want to leave the strip? If you're willing, Bar Canada at the D downtown would certainly have the game with sound. Most other places are going to favor NBA over NHL, so while you'll be able to watch the game, it's unlikely that you'll have sound with it.

One book told me whichever game they’ve taken the most bets/most money on, will get the big screen with sound treatment.

I wouldn't expect any to prioritize NHL. We watched game 1 at Aria sports book. NBA game was almost finished. Once it finished it mostly emptied out and they switched the big screen and we got seats up front. You might get lucky also with the timing of the games. We only missed about 3 minutes of it on the big screen.

My biggest shock was in May a number years ago at Caesars Sportsbook. Rangers vs Capitals. The place was packed and loud. Every screen but, one was hockey and the play by play for hockey was on full volume. I was not expecting that in Vegas. Can't remember if there was a NBA game or not. there would have had to have been MLB and horsies for sure.

Beer Haus at NYNY is basically a NHL themed bar and I imagine they will have the games on

I’ve asked for them to put the NHL game on at the Park sports bar and they always have. I like watching the games there; you can play VP and get dinner!

Totally agree. I can't think of a casino bar that likely has the NHL audio on while an NBA game is on except Bar Canada.

Interesting, but that will be an NBA game 99% of the time this time of year.

Yeah they will usually put any sports on for you per request, but they won't with audio unless the NBA is out of way and the NHL is the only playoff game left.

They did have the latter half of Game 1 this round on at Bet MGM at Park with audio because the game was in Vancouver, and the NBA was already over for the night.

If you have the NHL app on your mobile phone, you can listen to the local radio streams of each playoff game. Some posters have mentioned that they wear air pods or headphones when playing slots or video poker. Pop some air pods on, and listen to the game on the mobile app while watching.

Keep in mind that the audio will probably not be in sync with the video. When I do watch sports like the NFL or NHL at home, I don't have the audio on because the commentators are just babbling nonsensically 90% of the time, so I have music playing in the background.

Hhmmmm.... just like they do at the sports book or sports bar....
