I certainly never did and never saw anyone else do it. Seemed like that was a gimmick at Casino Royale for years and used to draw play, but it must not have worked there because they have done away with for 3X4X5X now and completely eliminated 2 or the 3 tables they had and moved the one that is left back next to the bathrooms. I guess it did not do much to bring in players or revenue.

Agree on this. The stickman even pointed out the 100x odds several times during my session there.

    Two (very slight) negatives:
The poor odds (now common) on the "All Tall/All Small/Make' em all" feature bets (30-1, 150-1).
Only pay 2x on the 2 and 12 on the field. I'm really surprised they don't have 3x on the 12.

I have a couple friends that will play the 100x odds when it is is at $10 or $15. Even if you aren't playing full odds, being able to play 10/20/50x odds without worrying about it can be vary nice for higher rollers.

Spicole, you are right - I am not sure why they haven't come around on those items. It's just like on blackjack being no DAS on the double deck game. Thought they would fix this at some point.

it's the dealers that set The Cromwell apart though - I have not seen better crews anywhere on the strip. Top notch people.

Agree on all points. It's a rare occasion where bettors will plunk down 100x odds but many craps players like the flexibility to go 10x or more. I also agree on the dealers. I stayed at the Cromwell and at Bellagio on my last trip and gambled exclusively at both properties. The craps crews at both joints are outstanding. I also really like the crews at Aria.

If I am forced to play $10.00 at my locals most of the time, why would I go to Vegas and play $10.00 tables.

When I am buying in for each session at $120-$150.00, a $10 ice cold table could dent that budget very quickly........

I don't know why you don't seek out $2-3 tables in Vegas.

Because you are going to have a difficult time finding any $5 tables.

Everyone posts Cromwell for the 100X odds...does everyone/anyone take advantage of it. I buy in with $200. I rarely/if ever even take advantage of 10X odds. I like a $5 table, waiting for a good roll. I understand the best odds are found behind the pass line, but my night is based off of everything else that happens. I’m trying to spend a long night at the table, not hit it big from one roll.

Casino Royale I’ve never been able to get on the table because it’s too busy. My best roll in Vegas was at the Trop waiting for my wife on an empty table. Hopefully I break that this trip since I’m sure I won’t even stop in there.

Posted effectively the same thing above, but the 100x odds are not for low rollers, they are for mid to higher rollers. I have before and have some friends that absolutely do take advantage of full odds many times, especially when things are running hot. If nothing else, being able to spread to say 25-50x odds without thinking about it is nice. On a $10 bet, being capped at $50 or $100 is not enough for a lot of bigger players.

I have never played 100x odds.
Always buy in for $2K-$3K and would have my entire buy in exposed on one pass line and 2 come bets with odds.
Played 10X at the old Horseshoe but 100X is out of my league.

For those who mentioned Casino Royale,They could offer 500x odds and I would not go there.
Never saw Pit Critters sweat the $$ like they do there.

I've played 100x odds once (it went poorly), but I've played 10x-20x odds almost every trip to Cromwell. Being able to back a $10 Pass bet with $50 or $100 or $200 on a 4 or 10 point is great, even if you never get near the table max.

Right now Cromwell is my favorite, followed by Cosmo for the people watching (but expensive at $15-25) and Mirage for a good atmosphere on a typical 3x/4x/5x game that you can get at $10.

The people watching is invaluable - the Drais crowd from 8-2am is terrific, but I tend to finish up after that as the after-hours club can get a little sketchy and typically has an arrest or two each morning.

I've played every crap table downtown (except for DTG)... to me, the most fun I consistently have is at the El-Co's table. It's got a unique vibe (for lack of a better way to put it), and if you're there for any length of time, I can almost guarantee that you will have several genuine laughing moments at some of the shenanigans at that table.
If you take craps very seriously, then you probably want MSS, the Nugget or Plaza...but if it's joy, laughter, silliness & fun you seek? Try the El Co.
    Runner-ups for "fun" would be Binion's & 4-Queens....great witty & sarcastic crews.

I am not that poor my friend..lol

I am happy with the $5 and will play $10 in Vegas out of convenience......like watching the MLB playoffs at the Aria last October and taking a break and playing some $10.00 craps right outside of the sportsbook..........

It's not about being poor, it's about staying in the game. I simply can't believe you are having fun at a table where you are risking 10, 20 percent of your bank on a roll.

A $2 game will allow you to play much longer, and more comfortably. That's all.

DT: MSS, GG (always a good time, but the casino is looking tired like many now) the D was fun with the dancers, but just the novelty and a distraction at best
Strip: I'll never step foot in CR again (ughh) If anyone knows where the sit down 6 person table went HMU in a PM
PH was fun but not for odds, CW odds, C, MB, Cosmo, Aria, hard to play at W/E 2x
    Don't much care for 3/4/5 or 2x

    100x
never went to that level in Vegas
at my local about 2 years ago fire only bet, did not hit it, but shot for 10 points!
When it finally went adios I lost $3K on the felt + carny bets, I had $5 comes across with $500 odds on every number inc. pass line
(that was a fun and rewarding experience!)
Later that year had a monster and hit the fire, parlayed a piggyback $1 hardway 6 or 8 (can't remember) into $900 tip for dealers (I like tipping the good dealers, even 2 way betting action on #'s, as long as they're fast and it's ok w/ house & not slowing down table)
    -
The next weekend I go back out, same table, same spot trying to recreate the mojo (nada, up & down, I had decent tosses, but usual roller coaster) then a guy walks up to left end of table and rolls an 11 pointer!! No setting, chance roller but rhythmic (fun and rich roll & in the end hopping $30 every roll on soft 6's & 8's, $5shooter, $5dealers, $5me)
Nice when you only have to bet and reap and not toss those bones, got a few #'s to 100x
(wingsfan, you and I have to get together at R or Pot, hmu)

I never played more than 5x odds, so majority of locations suit my needs. You will most likely find 5x or 10x maximums all across downtown.

However, I do throw in an occasional field bet despite a higher house edge. For that, I make sure the table pays triple for 12. I still play at the tables, where 12 pays double for the field, but I just don't play the field then.
