We are going for my sister's 1 year delayed 40th Bday!! We would love to dance to the music that was popular in the days that we were out bar hopping from the mid 90's to the 2000. I like some of the recent pop music too, but would love to "rock the dance floor" singing and dancing, reminiscing about the "younger" days

    Thanks for you input

We used to go to the Rock place just outside Venetian casino but it closed:( so looking forward to seeing what replies you get. Also used to go to a place at Caesars called Cleopatras Barge. Live band and good people watching

I think you'd find the Gold Digger's Club upstairs at the Golden Nugget (downtown) much to your liking for what you've described. Nice small nightclub feel with a nice variety of music that caters to an older crowd. There's also a nice balcony to get some fresh air that overlooks the Fremont St. crowd. Not sure when you're going, but if you consider this suggestion, be sure to check with the property, as I heard they're going to be closing for a remodel at some point.

I would second this. They usually have a band that plays very danceable pop-funk kind of stuff and the atmosphere is not at all like the velvet rope places.

I second Paris Le Cabaret Mo-Su almost all the time the band is playing excellent R&B with modern standards mixed in. Great for dancing. The other (even better IMHO) is Cleopatras Barge. They just reduced their live music days to Fr+Sa though:(

Chateau said on Friday nights they do 80s, 90s and today hits. We also got offered 2 free drinks and admission if we were put on the guest list thru the promoter
(didnt go so I cant tell you for sure, but when we walked by they were playing 90s/2000s songs that I knew)

I seem to recall that Cleo's Barge was closing? Is this incorrect? Haven't been there for a while.

Wife, her gf's, myself and my close friend who was my best man at my wedding had a blast at Gold Diggers. Didn't even plan on going in but they offered us free entry so we figured why not give it a shot. Ended up staying until last call.

Also have had fun at Carnaval Court.
