What's your favorite "old school" slot, whether you can still find it somewhere or not? My wife and I used to love "Fourth of July". It was a 3 reel, 2 coin 1 arm bandit with a single pay-line. The third reel had a "Fourth of July" symbol that would spin the reels until you got a winning hand. Saved our bank roll many-a-times! Also loved the original "Stampede". The bonus round was rare, but when it came along it usually paid rather well and it sure made a racket; everyone around you knew you had gotten it. I can't find either anymore. Have a favorite?

I've always liked the 3X4X5X reel slots. They're still around and some variations have been updated to the video version. There's another one that I like, but I can't remember the name. I think it was a variation of the Diamond or Double Diamond where some of the diamonds had arrows pointing up or down, so the reel would move either up/down after it landed on the pay line. I use to have pretty good luck on those quarter machine back when I first started visiting Vegas.

Old fashioned Blazing Sevens, dollar denom, three reel, progressive. May be boring to most, but is my favorite ‘zone out’ slot and my very own ATM. :goofy:

Back 15-20 years ago, Bally's Wild Wild West in AC had an alcove with 5 cent 5 reel 9 line machines that were not video. They were regular reels with a small video screen above where you played the bonus game. One was called Flip Flop, but I can't remember the other two. One was themed around fireworks and the other had a bonus round where you popped balloons. I used to love those machines.

Mine was single line Red White and Blue 3 reel slots. Two credit quarter denomination machines. The one that pays with no symbols on the single pay line.

Hardly see these slots except at Orleans, MSS, Fremont, and the Cal. Maybe Sam's Town might still have them but I know Suncoast and Aliante doesn't have them. This is for the Boyd properties and I wouldn't be surprised the other properties don't have them anymore.

I like the old, old aristocrat machines for pennies. I can play 25 cents and still win something good! Pompeii and 100 lions have treated me well. If it is obscure enough I will give it a few spins lol.

@dmr I think you mentioned Betti the Yetti once on here and I had to play it lol. I've seen it at the Gold Coast and the D upstairs.

Double Black Tie 2 coin max 3 reel.

I really miss the way slots were arranged.. sometimes in a carousel with a giant "7" rotating in the middle, or something like that.
Back when there was plenty of room on the slot floor.. and minors were absolutely NOT allowed to wander through the play area.

Must have been someone else. I've never considered it to be a fave, even though I do like many of that vintage.

The 25 cent Elvis slot. Had songs and bonuses and was a lot of fun. Never won a great deal but was able to play on a 20 for quite a while. I remember as the reels stopped you would have Elvis grunt or groan some opening bars of a song only to have the third window go "Ba-dump" or something showing you had just missed it. But when it hit he bonus it was fun.

The original Lotus Flower. Haven't seen it on the Strip, know they have a couple DT. There are several at my local.

Ya know what I really miss?

The old nickel, dime quarter totally mechanical fruit machines, like on my first trip to Vegas.

14 for three plums, 18 for three oranges, zippo for a lemon in the third row, you know the drill. :)

Princess Bride, Mardi Gras Madness, Neptunes Kingdom, Relic Hunter, Alien, and while not a "classic" I miss Back to the Future, and the big giant WOF wheel even though it didnt pay anything, it was still fun.

My local casino has Betti The Yetti and its one of my favorites also.. though she can be moody and doesn't always like to pay out. They are down to just 3 machines so I am sure it will be gone soon.
