KFC < Chik Fil A < Popeyes < Jolibees, in this bear’s opinion.

I will say, Chik Fil A typically has the cleanest restaurants though.

I checked the sandwich out earlier this evening. Popeyes is much larger, liked their spicy version (not spicy but had some flavor), still needed Tabasco. Chick fil A's has slightly better chicken and breading, but Popeye's makes up for it with the size of the sandwich.

    New rankings:

    Popeye's
    Shake Shack
    Chick Fil A

Thankfully I did not experience rioting, looting, violence or even a single person in line for my attempt on Chicago's Northwest Side. Looks like folks are practicing elsewhere for the inevitable rioting, looting and homicide otherwise known as Black Friday. The Black Friday Death Clock is ready for action later this month.

Drove by my local Popeye's in the Chicago suburbs at 10:00 last night and the drive through still had a line 20 cars deep. They had turned off all exterior lighting to let people know that they were closed and to stop lining up. Unreal...

The 3 Popeyes in town here that I pass with any regularity have drive thru lines wrapped around the building about 90% of the hours they are open. In the south, they are the best. No idea how people are so hyped about a fast food chicken sandwich though. They are so busy here that most times I go there it's because I'm driving by somewhere around dinner time and see 3 or fewer cars in line and am like "Ooh Popeyes in less than half an hour!"

They did a power move here too and recently opened one near my house in the corner of a strip center at a major intersection, right next door to a KFC with a buffet, and the KFC pretty much only gets business when Popeyes parking lot and restaurant is full.

"People are sheep with way too much time on their hands."

That's as opposed to us busy old goats who hang here? :)

I have no opinion about fast food chicken sandwiches. If I want a chicken sandwich, I make my own using leftovers from the $4.95 whole chicken I got at Costco on a Sunday chicken run. In my view, a chicken place that is closed on Sunday might as well not exist.

Chick Fil A recently gave away and delivered sandwiches to motorists stranded on Houston Interstate I 45. This was in September. One of my friends posted it on FB as her son was one of the motorists. She was grateful.

They also passed out over 5,000 chicken sandwiches at Atlanta to travelers stranded in December of 2017- gasp wait for it — on a Sunday.

Lol. Politics, Religion, & Chicken Sandwiches

Honestly, I have no clue what ALL the fuss is about, whether it be Popeye's, Chic-fil-a, or anywhere else.

It's just chicken, for God's sake. Sure it's good, but IT'S JUST CHICKEN.

And again, another thread has had to be cleaned of political posts.

This is why VMBers can't have nice things.
