    Hi folks,

Looking at booking a trip in July/August. Flexible on dates, really.

I'm wondering, in general, what is the best day to arrive and check-in?
Specifically, I'd like to avoid crowds and come in at a slower time--I don't like lines, and I may ask for an upgrade. :)

    Much appreciated, thanks!

My mom and I go every August. We try to arrive after 3 pm on Sunday as the weekend visitors have mostly left by then. We typically leave early Friday morning.

I'm rarely in Vegas on a Friday or Saturday night and find the pace of the weekdays much more to my liking. Still crowded but not the mass of humanity.

Monday evening to Wednesday. If you don't cross over that Friday night with your booking yOu will have a much better chance of room upgrades. Lines will def be better any non holiday week, but check the conventions calendar too.

    Simple stuff.

Friday and Saturday have the highest arrivals.

Big events can be any day.

I usually arrive Monday around noon and left on Friday morning. It's mostly because of the rates... Sometimes the line seems very long but it goes fast... The longer I've wait is 20 minutes...

As soon as I arrive in Vegas my mood change and I found that my patience increase! I think, I have a smile all the time that I'm there :)

July and August are very hot outside but the AC in some casinos may be very cold!

I agree with all the comments before, the worst days are Friday and Saturday but the other days are fine! (I'm going on my 6th trip in less than a month so keep in mind that I am not the most experience user in here!!!)

When possible, I'm a big Wednesday guy. I have a lengthy flight from the East Coast, so I like the idea of Wednesday being my time zone adjustment day. Then, if I'm not up to going as hard as I might otherwise, I still have all Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to get after it before flying home on Sunday. I also seem to get in all my preferred activities in that time span, before being ready to return to civilization on Sunday.

Always Sunday through Thursday. Makes no sense to go over a weekend unless you are conserving vacation time and/or there is a special event (March Madness, Football, etc...).

In terms of the actual arrival date, Monday and Tuesday are the 2 slowest days for arrivals.

For a 3-night trip, I usually shoot for a Tuesday arrival & Friday return flights.
    2-nighter? Wednesday arrival.
As others have mentioned, Friday & Saturday nights are the ones to avoid...and lately, even Sundays have started to pack in (much more so than in the past).
So - as long as you avoid the Fr-Sa-Su combo, you should be fine.

...oh, and if you don't have TSA Pre-Check, you do not want to depart Vegas on a Sunday!

We prefer a Sunday through Friday trip but have started doing Saturday through Thursday since they started comping me Saturday night. Our last trip was Friday through Monday and I was expecting the worst but it wasn't that bad. There was a large crowd on the strip both nights but not crazy crowded.

I try to schedule an arrival on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Sunday, usually late morning, as those appear to be the slowest and least crowded WRT airport and shortest rental car and taxi lines.

Learned the hard way to avoid arriving Friday evening! :(

Assuming you are not dealing with a holiday or major event:
Since you are looking for quiet times and possible upgrade, imo, checkin Mon, Tues, Wed is best, plus better chance of getting into the room early increases.
Sun isn't bad if you are ok with a very late afternoon checkin due to late checkouts and housekeeping delays in turning the rooms around (all the weekenders leaving).
In addition to Fri, Sat, being extremely busy, I find Thursday afternoon checkins are very busy and you may not get the exact room you hope for since your stay includes the weekend.

    Here s another calendar:

    Best of luck!
