    Hi Everyone
I hope you are all keeping well.
We are heading back to Vegas April next year (staying at Aria).
I know a lot can change between now and April next year but what is it like at the gaming tables? From what i can pick up double vaccinated guests don't need to wear masks but is there loads of perspex surrounding you? Can you still interact with other people at the table ok?
Mainly playing Table games Blakcjack, Pai Gow, Ultimate Texas Hold Em

I'm just trying to get an idea of what it will be like and hoping that Vegas feel is still there. I don't want it to be too much hard work losing my money :haha:

    Thanks
    Reds

It is pretty much like pre-covid. Some dealers wear masks. A very few players might wear a mask. Strip still has crappy 6-5 BJ

I feel like pai gow is dying a slow death in favor of face up pai gow, which I do not like. It’s quicker and the benefit conferred just isn’t worth the cost (pushing A-high dealer hands).

a lot of 6:5 on the strip. Even Cromwell which literally advertised on “all bj plays 3:2” went to the dark side, save one table.

Your trip is nine months away, so who knows. But right now, its pretty much the same as pre-pandemic

Just to clarify, at least at most major resorts, staff are only permitted to go mask-less if they've provided documentation that they're vaccinated to HR. And even then, I know many who are doing it anyway.

Otherwise, it's pretty much the same in terms of capacity, and no plexi. As far as guests, mask-wearing is in the minority at this point, but also not blinked at. I always wear one unless actively eating, but that's me.

You can find 3:2 with some minor effort. We found it midweek at linq, Park MGM and even Bellagio all at $25 level.

    it’s there.

June 15-18, downtown... tables all allowed to go full-capacity...no plexiglas,,, almost no masks (except for some dealers).
Still many, many tables just simply not opened! That was a bummer.
Guilty parties? That would be the Cal, DTG, Plaza, Fremont & 4-Queens....& Binion's too, but they're always like that - even pre-covid.
Highest percentage of tables open? That would the El-Co & (shocker) the Nugget .
Derek's properties had many of their tables going, but at noticeably higher minimums.

    Reno Virginia Street Report:

Since Harrah's closed, I don't understand why Silver Legacy and El Dorado are starting weekends at $25. They stay empty for hours and sometimes you see like 4 people at most playing. I figured start at $15 or $10 and then raise it as demand works out. The only thing I can think of is they are afraid of getting crushed by lower end rollers. But if a $25 chip player has a huge run, they will win a ton more, so who knows.

Sands Regency and Cal Neva has $10 and sometimes $15 at night and they are always full.

Just to clarify, we're not "post COVID".

We are "post COVID safety measures". That's a big, big difference.

I'm kind of guessing you're not in the USA.

All casino employees(and all employees in general) in Nevada are currently required to wear masks.

It's not heading in the right direction at this time. Sonya posts AMAZING covid/pandemic info and updates. You should follow those.

And I know you're excited about your trip. But it's 9 months away, which is a lifetime in the current state of Vegas and the world. Any answers to questions now could be totally different in a week or a month, let alone 9 months.
