chef is still here. I haven't seen Dougie in some time, but I'm still in contact with Kikky and DonD and they are both doing well. I miss having the full gang of Buffoons on the board, but real life happens and people's interests wane. I get it, but if I were Queen of the World, I'd make it a law that fun people aren't allowed to leave here. ;)

Doesn't look like it. He burned out pretty hard on Vegas and was thinking about a trip and was back for a bit. Maybe he decided he wasn't ready to go back yet. :)

I just saw this thread pop up when I was checking recent posts, so I may as well ring in too. LOL

"SMG" is short for "ShelbyMustangGuy". I use that name on another Vegas board, but since everyone usually just abbreviates my handle, SMG, I decided to use that instead when I signed up here. Needless to say, I like Mustangs, especially the Shelby modified versions like the one in my avatar. I owned a '70 Mustang back in my college days, but I found out that Mustangs and Chicago winters don't go together very well. LOL If I lived in an area that didn't get snow, I would be driving a Mustang GT today, but I current own a SH-AWD Acura RDX.

Although, I've been known to rent Mustangs quite often when I visit Vegas! :D

Thought it might be fun to start a thread to find out a little bit of the creativity behind some of VMB's unique/cryptic/enigmatic user names. There are a lot of VMB handles that I'm sure many of us would love to know the genesis and inspiration that hatched them.

I'll start off. I'm Bob and I live in Saskatoon. ;)

Breeze - From the Lynyrd Skynyrd cover of JJ Cale's The Breeze.

147 - Philadelphia Flyers retired numbers of Bernie Parent, Barry Ashbee and Bill Barber. Sometimes, I'll throw in the 16 for Bobby Clarke. Nowadays, I could also use the 2 for Mark Howe and the 88 for Eric Lindros.

I think I posted this before but what the hell.
Hubs and I frequented a Buffy message board in the early 2000s.
    His member name was aardvark.
Friends on that board referred to him as ardee.
Since my name is somewhere in that nickname I chose it for this board.

It's gonna be a long countown, Mike. You might need to figure out how to get a trip in sooner. :poke:

And the Flying Burrito Brothers did a cover of "Wild Horses" before the Stones did their original.
