Great to see so many folks getting out and about!!

Late spring into early fall ...

May/June -- Big Island, Lanai, Maui
Early July -- I have an open dance card the 4th weekend as Terri's going to see her folks, so I'm thinking about Mammoth or the Bay Area
    Mid July -- Puget Sound
    Late July -- Quebec
    August -- Vegas
Early September -- Eugene, McKenzie River and Bend for the annual Boyz Golf Getaway
Mid September -- Staycation as two of my best buds are coming out for four days
Late September/Early October -- Sacramento for a ride (Sacramento Century Challenge ... no century for us!)
Early October -- Long Beach (Terri has a conference, I'll tag along and play golf)
    Mid October -- Turkey, perhaps
Late October -- Coachella Valley for a ride (Patriot Ride for Our Heroes)

June - My community's private beach. My patio. Maybe a Nationals game.

July - Las Vegas, beach, patio, Nat's game. BTW, I always root for the visiting team, I hate the Nat's.

August - Philadelphia for 3 game series, Phillies vs. Giants, beach, patio, Nat's game.

Oh yeah, and as much fishing as I can possibly fit in.

*Sigh* There is nothing on calendar. We take hiatus from traveling during most of the summer. At least, it's a good time to stay at home and enjoy fun in the sun & lazy days by the pool. I hope to sneak something in after WSOP and before football ramps up. I hear Portland calling... and with any luck, cheap airfare will sway me somewhere fun.

If June 3rd counts as summer, then Vegas.

After that, nothing until Thanksgiving. Having a home built and need to save a few bucks. It is supposed to be ready mid-September. Not that hopeful, with the weather delays it looks like we are already almost a month behind schedule.

This will be #12 and hopefully we are done counting. We're making progress. We have lived in this one for 5+ years. Although, we have been looking for the last two years and just can't find what we want, in the area we wanted. So, first time ever, we are building.

Congratulations and my sympathies, Joe. :wink2: My parents built their house in Ken's neighborhood several years ago and I wan't sure mom was going to make it through the process. But they really loved that house.

A year ago, they downsized and moved to Boise, ID. They bought a house and now mom keeps saying "Why did they do this?" "Why would anyone put this wall here?" "Who would want a closet this small?" :haha: It's nice to have a custom home, but the decision making process and the waiting for construction delays can be maddening.

    Good luck!

Lol, same here. Vegas June then in August. Can't seem to get away from Vegas. I guess I enjoy the energy people bring to Vegas...traditional vacations are too relaxed for me. In Vegas, everyone has one thing in mind: fun

So far, so good. Framing is in progress and all the exterior decisions, plumbing, cabinets, countertops, carpeting and flooring decisions have been made. Next up interior doors and trim, but so far, none of the horror stories we have heard about when building. Wish us luck!

I've not hung out with a lot of people in Hawaii who had not having fun in mind. ;)

That was one of our favorite driving trips with our daughters (we didn't do the Billy the Kid grave part though).
Your 9 year old grandson will love the train ride in Durango (if you stand outside, you will get plenty of coal soot on your face - kids loved that)
The Anasazi Cliff Dwellings are something to behold. Be ready to crawl through some very narrow passages and the ladder climbs are a bit scary - not for the kids - but for the adults - lol!

If your schedule permits, a really nice place to visit is:
Pagosa Springs, Colorado (about 35 miles north of the NM border) has some great fishing and is known for its sulfur springs, including the world's deepest geothermal hot spring - celebrated for its therapeutic and healing powers.

Hope y'all have a wonderful trip!
