It's my birthday today - 62 years young! It's 1 degree Fahrenheit presently here in Minnesota. I've already had three gatherings w different friends to celebrate and my daughter and family are taking me for dinner TOMORROW. But what to do on my ACTUAL BIRTHDAY???!!! What would you do??

Go see Camelot at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, if they have any tickets left. If you're in the Cities...

Happy Birthday to you!

Not knowing your likes and dislikes makes it tough to make a recommendation. You must have a mental bucket list of things you haven't done before, today would be a great day to treat yourself to one or two items.

I like to visit NYC with my wife for my birthday. Take the train, stay overnight, see a show and have a nice meal. Maybe there is an IMAX theater in your area, grab a friend or loved one and see a movie. Then grab a meal at a place that you've been wanting to try.

me? I'd get laid. hey, you asked

:woohoo:

Maybe go ice fishing? Sounds like perfect weather for that....

First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! With temps like that I would do something inside for sure. As I get older and busier, my favorite things to do when I have a break is a whole lot of nothing. :) I'm a knitter and my favorite gift is a day when I can park myself in front of Netflix, binge watch something and squish yarn. I'm a party-animal that way.

Happy Birthday!!! My birthday was Wednesday (I am about your age). I took the day off from work, had to wait for the plumber to replace a faucet, and went to my local casino for a couple of hours. Had lunch there, won $200, got a "free saucepan", and then came home. Fed my son, and then my BFF took me out for dinner.

Just an example of what you COULD do!!

What would you do?

Boil up two pounds of 21-25 count shrimp, prep some garlic butter, and break out a bottle of gin or vodka.
If I don't have shrimp, through a couple of Totino's pizzas in the oven.

Happy BIrthday!
Let us know how you spent the day/evening.

Think of something that you always wanted to do in your 62 years on this planet that you always wanted to do but never did.
Ask friends and/or family if they have any interest in coming along.
If so great.
If not, their loss and go solo!

Happy Birthday! :woohoo:
It's 2 degrees here. Tropical!

If it was too chilly to travel I'd grab a book and enjoy a quiet few hours of "me" time.
Or if I could make it into town I'd phone an old friend and treat them to supper and catch up on some old times.

Whatever you find yourself doing, enjoy it, gailtherese!
You've earned it!

It seems that you are spending time with family and friends beforehand. Give yourself some alone time to enjoy something to do without the hassle of accommodating them or them accommodating you. Museum, show, shopping, etc.; whatever you like to do.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I enjoyed reading them; especially those from fellow Minnesotans! I ended up texting a few friends and meeting them at our local Wine Cafe to listen to a great band for awhile and then out for dinner. I already have my reservations for Vegas in February (per someone's suggestion). I'll see if I can upload a pic of tonight's gathering.... Thanks again for your input everyone!! Gail
