In October the wife and I did Ballys 5 days comped and Cosmo 2 days comped for our annual anniversary trip. We will be doing the same identical thing in march. Ballys 3/15-20 and Cosmo 3/20-22. We don't ever waste our time even looking at hotel rooms in Vegas that would cost us any $$. WHy should we? We usually use the room for Sleep! Shower, shaving, ...and a couple other "S"s. I'm in my late 50's, for whatever that's worth, but a free DECENT room should be good no matter what age you are. I havent paid for a room for in Vegas, in nearly 16 years. I could if i wanted to....BUT WHY??????? Just saying!

I can understand your feelings on the lower end CET properties. I feel that way about all of their properties. I would probably do Caesers but I don't like their casino. If you are willing to pay, I would probably throw in some of the MLife properties that others have mentioned. We find the pools at Aria to be great a good mix of relaxation and fun. MGM Grand would be another I'd check out. Mirage should probably also be on your radar. Good luck on whatever you decide.

Just a reminder since some folks are doing Monte Carlo - there is no pool there right now - they tore it out last year as part of the remodel.

If you have a host at cosmo I'm sure you'll get something, fingers crossed!

I'd just say go comp or go nice if you're spending for rooms. Have a GREAT trip!

So I didn't look at Bally's before so it's comped (well, I have to pay resort fees, which pisses me off if it's a comp) for a Jubilee Room King, Strip view.

So with knowing that now, here are my questions...

    1) Has anybody stayed in one and have thoughts?

    2) What's the pool situation at Bally's? We liked Flamingo, due to access of booze while we were at the pool. That's what we enjoy, day drinking by the pool.

I don't mind paying for a room, but I don't want to pay full price if I don't have to. This is my wife and I's vacation. Sure we love to gamble and eat, but we also enjoy the niceties of a good room.

As far as MC goes, the one guy got that on a deal with spirit. I won't fly them due to my status on United and we wanted a pool and I knew it was gone.

Ballys hands down, the rooms are HUGE! The pool is alright, but its a great location and take the $1200 you are saving vs Cosmo and get a really nice dinner.

You can't compare CET's lower tier rooms to Cosmo. While I've never stayed at Cosmo I will in April. I've stayed at the Jubilee tower at Ballys and it was ok. It all depends on what you want of of a room as others have said. For me and the wife we've been spending more time in the room on the last few trips. That's why I'm splurging for the Cosmo. I don't have any history with them, but due to my history with CET I was able to get a discount at Cosmo. I've always wanted a room with a balcony. Just wait to see what your Cosmo host offers you. I'm also like you and have little history with MGM. Might spread my play around this trip since I won't be staying at a CET property.

IMHO. I like Ballys rooms, Harrahs Casino and bars. I use to like Flamingo but the smell gags me now and my friends who stayed said the rooms were dirty. I truly dislike Aria casino the rooms were nice but not 1,100 nice.
I have booked the Jubilee tower at Ballys 3x, but I always request a quiet room and upon checking in I was discouraged from that tower because of the noise.
The VP at the bar at any CET stinks.
I think everyone has a different aspect. :D.
What ever you decide I hope you win big and have fun.

Stayed at Bally's 5 times last year, 3 times in a Jubilee Celebrity Suite and twice in a std Jubilee room. Take the comped Bally's room, haven't had a bad one yet.

Too much room variance at Flamingo, You might get a good one, you might not. All fresh remodel at Bally's. Food choices getting better at Bally's but not quite on a par with Cosmo IMO.

I would definitely take the Ballys room comped as many others in this thread have suggested. I have found Ballys to be very generous with free upgrades to a jacuzzi suite at check in.
