Which tower would be the best so we don’t hear any noise from FSE?

I have stayed in gold and rush tower. I think both of those towers have good and bad rooms as far as Fremont street noise. Just ask for a room that faces the strip and not Fremont and you will be fine.

You also want to avoid the noise of the event space the D has. It's Carson and S Casino Center and S Third. Which tower is that? I want to say Carson?

The Downtown Events Center doesn't have events every night or even every week. Just go to their website and see if anything is going on when you are in town.

I never go to Vegas over weekends, which is when the vast majority events take place, and I always get the Carson Tower facing south. VERY quiet rooms, but a long walk from the street.

Other options (but more expensive) are the Gold Tower rooms facing south and the Rush Tower facing south.
