First day of arrival, I want to start playing as soon as I've freshened up and changed clothes (usually between noon and 3pm).
Next days I like to go to the bar and play VP while having a Kaluha Coffee around 10AM. Then we go to breakfast, usually a movie, then back to gambling.
I do this ever day except last day when I have to get up early and start the trip home.

When I first started the morning playing, I didn't do well. Eventually I had some days when I got several 4OKs and some days when I didn't do as well. Haven't gotten a RF in the morning yet but maybe someday.

Do you like playing in the morning?

I'm from Indiana which is on Eastern time which causes me to get up about 4-4:30 vegas time as that is my normal routine. I prefer to play tables games solo so it generally works out well. You also get to see some great walks of shame.

I usually run downstairs to get coffee for the gf and myself. I will put a $20 into video poker and try to go double or nothing. I easily stay up until 3 or 4am so I often sleep in so I don't get the 6 or 7am morning session very often.

I'm from Indiana which is on Eastern time which causes me to get up about 9 because when I'm in Vegas I ruin my sleep pattern. I usually hit the pool for a few hours and have brunch/lunch and then play some. Maybe do some shopping, then have dinner. I don't really get into gaming until after 9 or 10. If I make it to bed early I will get up early and play some more in the morning. The point I am trying to make here is I play at all times.

I use to get in to vegas around 2:00 PM when I lived in Memphis and when I did that, i would get checked in, drop stuff off to the room then head down to get started playing either BJ or VP at a bar. Of course some of that depends on if I'm meeting people or not.

Now that I'm in Houston, I catch the later flight out and get into Vegas around 10:30 PM, but still the same routine almost. Get checked in, drop stuff off in the room and go down to play. Since it is night time and rather late by the time I'm checked in, I don't want to kill my bankroll by going full tilt on the first night so I try to keep it simple with no more than $300 loss the first night. I do that by just playing DDB or JoB at a bar and throw back some beers and a cigar. If I'm up after my VP session of a few hours, I'll go play some BJ for a hour or so before going to bed for the night (morning). Helps to get the pre-gambling jitters out of the way.

Speaking of not sure if anyone else gets those jitters or not, but the first 10 minutes or so of my very first table game session of the trip, I feel anxious, excited and nervous all at the same time lol.

I usually arrive around 7:00 pm and get to the GN by 8:00 pm. After unpacking, showering and making a short walk to Walgreens to pick up some TSA-non friendly items I'll go to the sports bar at Binions and grab a burger and shoot the breeze with the bartenders there. By then it's about 10:00 and I'll make my way to the Golden Gate and start the first of many BJ sessions during my seven day stay. My first night I usually call it quits at about 2:00 am, as I'm kind of tired from a day of travel.

It varies...but rarely before noon. Most playing is usually a few hours each evening anywhere from 9pm-3am.

I love to gamble early morning. It's nice and quiet. And you usually have your pick of machines or tables.

When I arrive at McCarran, I'll pick up my rental car then proceed immediately to my hotel. I'll freshen up quickly then proceed downstairs to gamble. In the morning, I'll usually hit up Starbucks then gamble after breakfast... Slots or table games

Being from the East Coast was usually are going down the elevator as others are going up from partying all night.
Not usual to be out of the room around 3-4 Vegas time hitting the machines and waiting for places to open for breakfast.

Depends on how I am feeling...some trips I will get the urge to stay up until 3-4am and I will usually continue that cycle. Other times I will get up early to have some calm gambling time and to eat a good breakfast while watching the walks o' shame.

These days most all of my visits are 2-3 days business jaunts. Since I only have an hour's flight outta Reno, I'm usually in town no later than noon. I generally will do one appointment or meeting then head to the hotel. By the time I get stuff put away, shower and change, I rarely drop any coin before 4 p.m. You can find me at the Hard Rock's Luxe Bar playing VP for a couple hours, then dinner, usually with a client than another hour or 2 of VP before heading upstairs around 9 or so, cause I usually start early next morning for business. I generally save most "fun" for the last night, when I'll start at 4 or so and party/play till I get tired or the money runs out. Sometimes that's 10 or 11p.m... sometimes it's 2 or 3 a.m., just depends. I'm old enough now to know I HATE going to the airport with a major hangover, but stupid enough to sometimes forget that in the throws of a good time. Though I live in Nevada, I rarely ever gamble outside my monthly Vegas visits.

Our flight gets in at 8-8:30 am, so sometimes our room isn't available yet when we get to our hotel. That's just fine with me. Leave the luggage at the Bell Desk and hit the casino. (Sometimes I secretly hope the room's not ready so I can get my gamble on right away.) Since we get up at home due to the time change at 1-1:30 am LV time, we're usually in bed by 10:30 the first night.

The other days we sleep until we wake up, usually 9-10:00, have coffee in the room while getting ready, then go have breakfast and start gambling. Our gambling for the day stops when we can't keep our eyes open ~ usually 1-2:00 am. We are actually too old to keep this pace, but we can't seem to change.

I usually get into Las Vegas around hotel check-in time, and as soon as I put my stuff away and take a shower I am off to the casino. Mid stay It all depends on how late I stayed up the night before and when I get up. I am usually down at the bartop VP machines by 10am and downing the bloody mary's. Funny that the only royal flush I ever hist in Vegas was at about 10am, after coming to Las Vegas from working night shift and losing about $700 the night before. It turned the whole trip around for me.

Whether I've lived on the east coast, in Texas, and now in LA, I've always arrived in the morning. I like to ease into the trip with a meal and a drink or two soon after arriving followed by some random wandering around. I definitely prefer to play in the evenings, followed by afternoon, and then morning. Playing in the morning seems strange. That's a time for waking and indulging in some kind of carb-load breakfast! All of that being said, I plan on playing soon after arriving during my next trip as I will have limited times to play throughout. I'm sure that after a few hands I won't have a clue as to the time...

Strangely, when I gambled every weekend in Reno, I'd gamble all night, then sleep like 4am-noon...
But when I'm in Vegas, its usually we drive in and arrive at midnight, and go to bed, then get up at 8-9am, and have a breakfast buffet somewhere (to load up for the days booze consumption), and usually start off with video poker...I don't usually play tables games until after dinner (seems to be when they're more lively)
Being on the same time zone as Vegas helps though...we flew to east coast a few years back, and it was tough getting used to the time change.

Like several others, I just stay on Eastern time and play in the morning, usually starting around 4 a.m.

I'm glad to see so many people who get up when I do. I've been totally laughed at here for for getting up as early as I do. I'm awake and back down in the casino between 3-4 am due to the time change and what time I normally get up. And it doesn't matter what time I go to bed. I've gone down to play before the coffee kiosks are open. I hate that. Cocktail service is spotty at best. Either there is no one around or they are all over you because there are so few people. I love this time of the day. People are still up from the night before still drinking and then there are those of just starting our day with coffee. People watching is the best at this time. I love to sit at a machine that is close to a club and if you've never seen the shoeless girls being carried out by their friends, sometimes with private body parts showing, you wouldn't believe it. I can also play at machines I couldn't get on at night. As much as people laugh at me for getting up so early, I can't imagine sleeping in late, even if I was able to. Sometimes I'll take a nap, but I usually don't and end up going to bed around 1 am. I catch up on sleep at home.
